Great video. Try keeping your vehicle's bonnet open when winching. If something snaps and comes shooting back, the bonnet will absorb the impact.
Nice upgrades,new sub here!🎉

Hi, planning to remap my automatic jimny, is installing this helps a lot or remapping is still the solution?
@@rayonnefitness6197 this definitely makes a difference, remapping may affect your warranty however if you plan on going the turbo route, they will remap it anyway
По бокам дебильний передний бампер, так испортить Джимни .😂
Hi, How did you higher it like that?
You can see the difference the transfer gear swap has made, the petrol engine is a weak spot on the JB74, a small turbo diesel would have been so much better both for climbing and descending but at least this gear swap has made the JB74 better offroad now.
Nice videos 👍 How much are rpm @100km/h now at GPS speed?
@@Anshyuman with the 31’s it’s abit more than what i had with the 195/80r15… gear 5 can pull up a normal hill but its still experimental and tests, we kept all the original stuff safe so if we conclude all the tests and are not happy then we can go back. I have vids of speedo at various speeds since the beginning. I want to test on more extreme hills(on tar), see if it can hold gear 5.
You see in your last video how the red jimny was struggling on the sand at time 1:22, this blue one doesn’t do that now. You just press accelerator and drop it like its hot.
@@febuilds for the gearing reasons, I am still running 215/75 tires, once I go ahead with lift and other modification, I plan to move to 31 inch tires and gearing reduction. We have tried only low range gearing reduction in one of the cars with 215 size tires.
@ if you put 31’s then low range and high range reduction will be good to give back the cars power/drivability without killing the clutch. But because you are no stranger to these gears, I don’t need to mention the draw backs. Just one very important tip: from wherever you buy the gears, ignore all the marketing hype. When they come, before installation, check the gears closely for consistency in the teeth and pitch, best is to take it to a gear specialist to look at, clean up and make adjustments where he see’s necessary. This way it will not be a very noisy run in period and you will do less heat cycles. Currently with the 31’s and the reductions the car is very drivable, even easier than when 195/75r15 was on, but i will test thoroughly before i announce exactly what we have done in this car because I don’t want anyone to rush and buy after seeing these videos and then face troubles.
Which tank lock model on it thank you
Great video. Where can we order the gears in South Africa?
@@catchawakeup6411 im not sure as to where they are selling them in South Africa but these were imported by FE Builds for a special experiment regarding low range gears
Hi! Nice videos! Of what can i understand is that now in 4L your Jimny have more torque to the tyres than before? And could you post the links of where you get the reduction gears? And thanks for being one of the few Jimny channels that post the process of how things are done.
@@pumareal6423 these gears give more torque in high and low range, making a 31 tyre feel like you are driving the stock 195’s, we are reluctant to post as to where we sourced the gears as we are still testing and we wouldn’t like to recommend anything that we haven’t tried and tested thoroughly. Follow up vids will come in the next few weeks if we are happy and which brand we went with.
@febuilds Thanks a lot!
@@febuilds Interesting video, looking at putting in new lower low range on my JB74 that leaves high range as is. On stock tyres.
@@febuilds A couple of observations, it would be interesting to see the differences in the gear swaps if before and after changes could be shown together side by side to see the difference rather than seeing a time difference, also the difference the gear change makes on a steep descent in low 1st just using engine breaking without HDC, also one mod I think a lot of JB74 owners are looking for is a digital or analogue temperature gauge adding as the warning light only tells you when the engine has overheated, great videos by the way.
@ we have a mod up on how to see engine temp already(the cheap option) but a more comprehensive one is coming soon. Shows all engine data. Including pre warnings, errors etc. wrt crawler gears, its an experiment, we have footage of everything but chose not to put it up until we have tested properly. Going down a hill thats not slippery is easy work, no need for hill descent control. It just idles down. Going down a slippery hill, i would go down in a higher gear so you can easily correct if the back tyres slide to the side
Hell. Did you figure out the reverse sensitivity?
Also... add music to the FF sections. It makes watching more enjoyable. 💯✌️
Swap the 2300 for the 1400 or 1800 fusion pros. Less speed, more torque. No need for the 2300 in a crawler. If the speed isn't what you want with the lower KV motors, add a few teeth to the pinion.
@@Wanted1069 i have all those motors tested them all thoroughly. 2300kv fusion pro is the best one.(my opinion after hiking vultures peak with a rc with a 1800kv. Just doesn’t have the same punch, settings, etc when needed)
Great video! I just subscribed to your channel👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why the thick rubber gloves? Is it cold?

29:40 .. Congrats! 🎉 I wouldn't have expected anything else! 🏆
You can use any shoes when you go offroading 😂
Lekker video, Jimny's having some fun! 🔥
Some shock keys would allow you the lower the ride height back to a more scale look.
Hello! So what jack do you use if you got a flat? I have my Jimny lifted 3" with 30" tires and im looking for a jack
@@pumareal6423 I will do a video on this soon.
Would be cool if you could provide links to all these awesome toys you have :)
@@ThompsonAndSon Hi, we are not trying to sell anything to to push anyone who views this to buy what we have but rather to take people along the adventure and enjoy the hobby with us. If you want to buy what you see in these vids there are many options on the market and the choice is ultimately yours.
@@febuilds Something that some of my friends carry when driving offroad is a small sheet of very thin zinc, a small pair of tin snips, a roll of duct tape, some short self tapping screws and some long cable ties, this lot came in handy on one occasion when a radiator hose split and a repair was carried out with these items thus enabling the vehicle to continue.
What is the feedback of this damper.. will it improve the steering response on 2” lift and 215/75 R15 tyres
I’m inspired to take my 4x4 out after watching this :)
@FEbuilds, love this video! Going to do some mods myself. Would you have an link to the brass wheels and tires? They look sooooo good! Would love to have them on mine! But i can't seem to find the right ones! Are they offset by the way?
Hi. Would you have the 3D printing file to hold the car you print in the video? Please?
Very good job, now you need softer tires that will help too 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
hi there i was thinking of buying my first rc car and this video really encouraged me to do so, but i have a question, how did you make the black vertical things (antennas?) look shorter? or is there a way to shorten them? or let them in the car and not let it be visible outside? thank you!
You should adjust your audio....Music is drowning you out.
Yeah, that’s a awesome rock right there, that was a nice climb slow and controlled. Love it.👍👍😎
Super cool looking rims those tires look great on there. Appreciate the video I watch for the next one.👍👍

Looks like a great trip, will have to try it out some day when I'm down there

Awesome vid man! can you explain a bit more about what happened at 3:55 ? That sounded quite intense. Was that damage?
Apologies, I understood by the end of the vid, that's extremely interesting to know, I get why you did it now. Great Video.
Why did you not just run the cable to the receiver down the other side. Looks like it would have been easier. Still good video
Thanks, thats actually a very good point. I guess I just didn’t think of it at the time. 🙈
Liked and subbed interesting build it looks great 🤘✌️
you should totally give me the rgt lc76 since my dad has a real 78
Whats the difference between is RTC and the TOUGH DOG SV 9 model? I spoke to OzJimny and they recommended the SV more to help with on-road steering, but ToghDog themelves reccommed the RTC, so I'm pretty confused which to go for
