I cant reconnect the keyboard cable :( the connector slot on the MB seems to be missing the locking switch
what is the third ribbon for the small ribbon
Hi from Spain, I have VN7-791G-79JA model, do you kown if is possible change de ssd disk for other bigger? Thanks in advance.
I have same model but anytime i install the NVIDIA GPU i get the BSD it only works after i disable the NVIDIA GPU in device manager PLease Help
Even though I have a slightly different model (VN7-792G-72JP) this was really helpful on what steps to take! Thanks a lot!
what a headache to replace the m2 ssd. I did not know that the intel 4th gen was compatible with m2
Уникално видео братле , надъхваш ме и аз да се пусна обаче с електричка
Thank you for posting. Save me so much time locking for M.2 slot.
Hi. Does m2 sata support nvme?
Thank you, that was very helpful! But the black cable was so hard to connect...
Thank you. I want to fit an additional 8gb of RAM. Really helpful.

cool video, i followed it to install an nvme ssd, but it seems it's not recognized. have you ever installed an m2 nvme on this computer?
some models like mine support M2.0 but the SATA type, not NVME. make sure you know which one your motherboard supports. Cheers

Great video Ivan really clear guide. I have the same laptop and was wondering if you know if its difficult to replace the fans? I have the same laptop and the fan on the right side of the motherboard has started to make a grinding noise which is particularly prominent when running at full power so I think the baring's are failing. I've had the laptop for 5 years and its not had any other issues so hoping it will be a relatively easy switch. I will be using your video to get into the laptop and have a closer look thanks again!
At 06:05 you can see him opening the fans case, then you remove them and replace. Just need to find the right size (width - height)
I add a little info: the keyboard, mousepad and palmrest cables, the first flat-ones that you remove, have a little switch, you can ignore it for removing but you need to open them for re-inserting. The two little ones are easy, just open them (up) to connect the cables, then, close. The big black one (sex pun not intended) is a bit tricky, the connector have two little switches at the sides, just open by pushing parallel to the MB (not up). Done!
I just broke the little pin. And I cant put in that big black thing so my keyboars doesnt work...
@@burakculhalik That's a bummer, I'm sorry about that. Those cables are all very fragile, a single wrong manouver can ruin them. However the important thing for making the keyboard work is to let the cable inside its slot, maybe you can fix it in another way, with a little piece of duct tape or something else. Also, is the pin definitely broken? Maybe is possible to repair it with lots of patience
@@burakculhalik Me too following the video i broke the pins of the keyboard slot, it had to be opened first to left and right before extract carefully the cable. So my keyboard is not functionnal now. I'll try to use some scotch to maintain the black thing in place but what difficult ! :/
Very well demonstrated.

SUPER Thank You!!!
iyigünler, Acer Aspire VN7-791G-57BP bu modeldede aynı mıdır acaba? ssd girişi varmıdır. çok benzer laptoplar
çoğunlukla seri numarası aynıysa anakart da aynı oluyor. VN başlıyosa aynıdır yani. birde acerde şahidimdir arayıp müşteri hizmetlerine sorabiliyorsun
So I tried to reconnect the cable for the keyboard (the thickest of the 3 top cables) like a 100 times but it just doesn't work. Like I push the black thingie out, and then try to stick the cable under it and pull the black thingie back in. Any tip?
I think you didnt opened the switch and so the cable cant plug in, I paste here my comment made a few weeks ago: "I add a little info: the keyboard, mousepad and palmrest cables, the first flat-ones that you remove, have a little switch, you can ignore it for removing but you need to open them for re-inserting. How hard is it to replace the fans? I have the 15 inch version of this laptop and my fan is buzzing.
Try cleaning them first, and if it doesn`t help the replacement isn`t that difficult.
@@ivanplamenov7768 Thank you. I ordered some compressed air to try cleaning them.
@@ivanplamenov7768 Tried using compressed air to clean via vents, didn't help. I am waiting on cleaning supplies I ordered to arrive (mini brushes and thermal paste because I think I will need to remove the heatsink to really get to the fans). The fan started clicking this past weekend, will cleaning it solve the clicking or does that require replacing the fan?
@@septic55 how is it now?
@@strichtarn3228 Thank you so much for following up. Cleaning the clicking fan didn't help, it appears that the fan blades themselves had warped. I ordered a new fan from New Egg and replaced the clicking fan. It went well, the fan screws were smaller than I had in my set, but found one that fit in my drawer of random stuff. No more clicking fan and the temps are staying normal.
Thank you so much mate ! Everything went flawlessly on the procedure, laptop is happy. Great tutorial !
I cany get my motherboard out
I had no issues. You get it?
Thank for this video bro. I want to know a thing. Dose it have an SSD Msata slot? Some versions of this laptop have an SSD Msata slot but don't have a DVD drive. But in this laptop I can't see the Msata slot. Many thanks
Just check the exact model of the laptop, because some of them have it depending on the model but some of them don`t.
@@ivanplamenov7768 I have double checked it. Many thanks
I am pretty sure it’s mSATA. Added a SATA III SSD today and it worked perfectly. I used the Western Digital SATA III 2280 m.2 1TB blue drive just FYI. Cloned HDD to SSD and reformatted the HDD.
Mine does not have an Msata, but have the M.2 slot (sata 3) that you can see at 5:12 Installed it, works fine, paired with the original HDD that I keep for simple storage.
What's the black component in bottom-left corner, between optical drive and battery, it's not disassembled in this video. in my device it's noisy like a fan, what's his name? i want to replace it.
Pretty sure that is the left speaker. That’s what the plug on the motherboard said it was anyways, on my laptop today
Yes I confirm, the black non - disassembled components at left and right are the speakers.
Can I Upgrade my Acer V15 Nitro VN7-591G with this Motherboard ?
How much thermal paste did you use? Would be 1 g enough?
Great video, it was very useful to me. Thanks! Have you ever changed the speaker? Mine makes a lot of noise/cracks etc. when the machine heats up (i.e. playing games after 30 min of so). They first told me it was because of the fans, but following your video and cleaning up everything didn't help. This horrible noise does come out of the speaker though. Any hints?
Hey, did you happen to find a solution to this? I'm having the same problem and don't know what to do.
@@Kubab104 Hi, yes I did solve the problem (well, half way unfortunately). An easy diagnostic to do is to deactivate audio drivers (software preferences), reboot the PC and see if the noise is still there. If not, it confirms the problem comes from the speakers. I then disassemble the PC again and remove the faulty speaker. Now it's fine, except I'm missing a speaker :(. I was not able to find a spare part unfortunately. HTH.
@@piqueselio I will try it then, thank you so much for the reply! :)
@@Kubab104 I had the same issue in the past. The only thing that helped was to unplug the speaker.
Hi, i was applying liquid metal and when i started my laptop (same as yours) i heard the fan, but display wasnt working and it restarted after 5 mins and do the same thing in loop..so i disassembled whole laptop again and the liquid metal was on gpu transistors or these small things, so i cleaned it up with alcohol, started laptop and it was working but i didnt get better tempertures, so stupid me applied more liquid metal and happnd the same thing, when i tried to start up, the fan is working, keyboard too but no display output..it goes like 10 seconds and then restart and again in loop, so i cleaned up the liquid metal again (stupid me) but this time laptop didnt start normaly just in 10 second loop without display..did i burned gpu?
liquid metal is for advanced users who know what they're doing because its conductive as you may have noticed. use non conductive thermal paste next time its almost just as good
LOL :´DD
How much are you earning per month? Is it enough?
It depends on how many days you work per month. Usually its around 40-50euro for 12hour shift.

What is the brand of thermal paste
The thermal paste is Grizzly Conductonaut.
I used kryonaut because it is non conducting. It isn’t as effecient but my first tests show great improvements. I’m sure if I run the stress test it will throttle but it’s good enough for me. I’m afraid the heat in my region may cause the conductonaut to bleed if kept vertical for too long. I may try it some day if I want to play with it
Great video, you saved us a whole lot of trouble. Thank you!
