He normally used Remo's on everything except the snare which he used Aquarian on. If you want the full run down on the specific head types check out www.livenirvana.com/equipment/dave.php this goes into detail about all the gear he ever used in Nirvana. Though to be fair it looks like he is using mainly Aquarian heads in this video.
@@gustavovieira7708 Yeah he might have, I'm not as familiar with what he used on the in utero tour so it's definitely possible. I was just going off that gear site and some of the live videos I've seen.
Did you know he bought heads that he did based on durability and not sound? His drum tech literally said that he used the aquarian hi-energy head just because it was the only one that didn't break.

Nathan Bryan I'm pretty sure it's a 24". I know Dave had used 22"s in the past, but this ride here has got to be a 24", it doesn't sound like 22" at all. As for what kit Dave used on the first foo fighters album, I am not sure. I would have to research it a little bit. I will come back with an answer if I can find one. And I found most of this information about the drums and cymbals on a Nirvana live equipment guide site, thanks for asking.
Nathan Bryan Sorry for the delay, but that ride cymbal that Dave used on the song "Exhausted" sounds like the ride from his Live at the Paramount kit (The Red Granstar ii), and that ride is a 22" A ping ride. If you listen to the ride on exhausted and then watch any Live at the Paramount song were he uses the ride, they sound pretty similar. If you want more detail on his Paramount kit, you can scroll down through the comments section of the video "Dave Grohl Drums Live At The Paramount" and you should find a comment I left about all his gear for that show.
Todo mundo sabe que o nirvana só decolou graças ao Dave Grohl.
Best video on UA-cam

What a weird video, but strangely enjoyable
He's got that bill ward thing going they don't play the drums they go to war with the drums just beat the hell out of them
I love how throughout the entirety of scentless apprentice the cuts won’t let Kurt get a word in
And this is why chad was out and Dave was in

At that time, Dave was the faster version of 1970 Bill Ward in Black Sabbath’s Paris concert.

Aquarian
He used Remo Powerstroke 3's on the toms and kick and on the snare he used an Aquarian Hi-Energy 14" since it was the only one that didn't break lol
dave grohl, destroyer of snare heads
Did you know he bought heads that he did based on durability and not sound? His drum tech literally said that he used the aquarian hi-energy head just because it was the only one that didn't break.

How does dave's back not hurt from being hunched up like that? It definitely hurts when I play with a high hi-hat like him

The first Foo album had these drums or his Red Granstar II's, but likely these because he used them with Tom Petty also.
