    Excellent video! Same as you I tried Notion, Obsidian, Evernote and other note-taking applications. I decided to settle on Bear due to its features, but at the same time simplicity that does not go in your way that too much customisation and plugins can do.

    I am like you , todoist is the best overall. However, they need to add new features to make it off. They just slow in adding new features (calendar just recently) while tic tic had it for ages. As example. They can add events , count down instead of deadline plain date and small things like this. Because free competitor like reminders is closing the gap year by year.

    • @benscyberlife
      @benscyberlife 11 днів тому

      @@hussam9433 I think because they are serving businesses they need to be more conservative with pushing new features. And also Todoist takes a different approach. They do one thing but they are doing it right. Btw I'm fairly sure Todoist pushed the calendar integration first and then TickTick did it. I remember because I was in the process of switching that time.

    • @hussam9433
      @hussam9433 11 днів тому

      @ i can not deny that , they indeed there final outcome is more polished version. I was tic tic user before 3 years and viewing calendar in the app was there , unlike todoist which was needed to open Google cal to view it. But yeah todoist cross platform and more intuitive to use , I can not leave them now but others pushing hard tbh, especially reminders app (apart from cross platform, which is huge deal for me) they really almost matched todoist in ease of use.

    I settled on Things 3 back in March 2018 and still use it today. Was kinda expensive up front as I bought it for Mac, iPad and iPhone so cost me around £70 from what I remember. But it's not cost me a penny more since so when calculate that cost over the 82 months I've been using it its under £1 a month. Whereas the subscription pricing for Todoist being £4 a month I saw it would work out cheaper in the long run to get Things 3. Todoist would have cost me £328 for the same timeframe and would continue to cost me money every month forever. I know Todoist is a very good app but personally it didn't do anything more for me over Things 3 that could justify that on-going cost. Glad you're happy with it though, use whatever works best for you.

    • @benscyberlife
      @benscyberlife 11 днів тому

      Glad Things works for you. It's really a solid app and I love their one time purchase model. There are a few things that break the deal for me. 1) not being cross platform 2) attachments 3) location based as I visit clients 4) natural language processing just because I'm lazy 😂

    • @Fracture1603
      @Fracture1603 11 днів тому

      @@benscyberlife Yeah Things 3 isn't suited to everyone. For me it happened when I switched from Windows to Mac totally after I just had enough of Windows and wanted it totally out of my life lol. So Cross platform wasn't an issue for me. Lack of attachments was actually a positive for me weirdly as I just wanted a simple, clean todo list. I made my life harder including attachments rather than just a link to the file but yeah I can totally understand why for others it is a must have feature. The one feature I do wish Things 3 had is location based reminders though! I have managed using Apple Reminders for that instead though so I keep my todo list and "reminders" separate which for myself works okay but it would be nice to not have to work around that lack of feature I agree. Natural language I can understand too but I've not had much issue with Things 3 understand basic things like "tomorrow at 10am" but again I try to use Things 3 like I use my old notebook todo list rather than a full blown scheduling and remindering app. Obviously we all work differently so different tools work best for different people. As I have ADHD I find Todoist is a bit "distracting" with so many features whereas Things 3 being limited actually helps me not get distracted by too many options and settings for entries in my todo list. Simplicity in my life is what helps me manage my tasks best but I know that doesn't work for everyone. The one time purchase is really nice though when I look at the cost savings over time vs a subscription though which kinda makes up for the little things it lacks like location based reminders or at least that is what I tell myself lol.

    This a great HONEST review. Most reviewers on both sides of android and ios typically follow the same script. Your review is truly unique and personal. Thanks for that. Keep up the good work. I really like Supernotes, I've been using it for a few days, but I find it expensive (10 € billed monthly, 89 € yearly) and it overlaps a bit with other apps. I discovered your channel while searching for videos about Bear. Could you explain how Supernotes compares to Bear? Is it worth switching? Thank you very much.

    thx for the video, very informative , I'm facing small issue with apple notes w/ the the export options (they recently added open in pages which will give u txt options & others , also there is a free app called notes exporter which can export all your notes in md format at once ). I guess They need another 2 ios updates to work on such a ground breaking Feature !! LOL Another thing I noticed is that if you use the new iOS features like recording a voice memo in Notes , highlighting a text , YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VIEW THE NOTE ON OLDER IOS !! It makes 100% sense it's impossible to view highlighted text on old iOS !! LOL Seriously Apple , they should just yell at me from the settings :" BUY A NEW iPhone or DROP DEAD " Anyways , I will stick w/ apple notes , It's free , simple , easy to use , Sync well , and now you can view ur notes in the browser w/ iCloud website, and finally their integration of notes with the OS like the quick note , AI in Notes is so nice that u can't find it elsewhere.
