I have been to the real LDM when I was a little girl. I've lived in AZ my whole life and one time I was with a family member who was taking care of me at the time and to protect identity I'll call him "John Doe" Well John and I were out there hiking or camping well to me that's what it was and later I realized he was just there looking for the mine and I had no choice but to be out there with him. He was always drinking so I never had a good time and really didn't want to be there. I remember the days being very long but at night you could see the stars and I would see shooting stars. We stayed in a small camper and were starting to run out of food and water and I remember him getting agitated with me for being a "needy kid" well he made me hike one last trail with him and said that it might lead us to a well to get more water to collect and I believed him. We hiked up this time and I was not keeping up well. Long story short, I eventually had to stop and rest and I guess I sat down on a boulder that was near a rattlesnake. So he threw a few things at it to get it's attention while I ran the opposite direction. (He scared it off) One of the rocks grabbed his attention though and while he was looking at the rocks and boulder I was next to a small hole and I felt like it was whistling at me so I moved the smaller Stones covering it and I told him LOOK I FOUND THE WELL! Excited because we can get water and go back now. He finished clearing the entrance up and told me to wait outside while he starts to go down into it. I didn't listen and followed after him too scared to be alone and afraid that the snake will come back.. I was dark and hard to breathe in there like the air felt different like it was damp maybe? And it curved down a little bit. Like it was hard to get through it at first and I caught up with "John" and he turned towards me to rush me back out very quickly. But before I left I got a good look at what was behind him and I saw from his lantern light rocks that looked different, they looked shiny but not all of them were and I saw potato sacks in front of the weird rock piles and I don't think we were at the end of the cave, it went further in but I was pulled away from there and we left quickly. He piled the rocks back up over the entrance again the best he could and we finally got back to the trailer. But he was different he packed everything up and we left so fast I could tell he was scared. I kept trying to get him to tell me what was wrong and I remember saying is it because we found food instead of water? And he was like "what are you talking about?" And I said well the potato sacks we found in the well and he gave me the scariest look like his eyes had no color in them and he looked at me dead in my face and said whatever I think I saw in there was not real and to never mention it again. I actually cried because I was so confused. But he ended up taking me to another relative and I didn't see him again for awhile. Maybe for another week or so.. and when he did come back he came back to talk to me alone and asked me if I remember the well? And I said yeah? He said do you remember where?! And again he had that creepy scary look in his eyes 👀 and I started to cry and told him I don't even know where we were and my relative I was staying with made him leave. I never heard from him ever again. I think he lost it and couldn't find it again and maybe he went crazy IDK.. but maybe if I went back to where we camped I could tell where it is from looking at the stars. I couldn't tell him what I remembered because the way he looks scared me. Like he literally changed into a complete stranger..

Sir, almost five years later and nothing? I believe you found a mine but it wasn't Jacob's Mine. David Miller found the Dutchman Mine in the 60's. He brought out a few hundred pounds and got paid $20K when it was $35 per ounce. See the April 1966 issue of the California Mining Journal and the Apache Sentinel Jan 28th 1966

Everyone says they found the mine it's never been found gold ownership wasn't even legal until 1974 it had to be sold to the Government at very low price. If anyone found the mine Clay Worst would have admitted it was found he is the only person alive still that had any connection to the Holmes family. He has said there are clues that Waltz told Dick Holmes never been disclosed to the public. If he couldn't find it no way David Miller found it. The gold ore found under the bed was all sold to others by Dick Holmes can't dispute the Dick Holmes story wasn't true because there was actual facts can be proven maybe he stole the ore I don't believe that. If Waltz wanted Julia to have the gold he would have told her it was under his bed in her house. Obviously she had no idea it was there she was so angry that Holmes ended up with the gold. I think Holmes story is true makes lot of sense why Waltz never claimed the mine, and he probably felt he was protecting Julia from getting hurt because so many men he killed just to keep the mine.

I just find it hard to believe, if anyone actually think they found the LDGM. They wouldn't develop it just long enough to get a sample to compare with the dutchmans sample. And if what the dutchman said was true. " A VEIN 2FT THICK 300FT LONG" anyone would just leave it regardless of what a law says. Thats like saying the US government throws 100 billion in cash in a dumpster, but it has to go to a landfill, and if you get caught dumpster diving you go to jail.😂 But the most convincing part of your story is the tubs. That is part of the story that is often overlooked. But when it comes to a wash like that. There should be easy finding gold on bedrock there. But 5 years later and you still haven't showed the DIRT in the back of the cave😂😂😂. Maybe you have died by now and you took the greatest discovery to the grave. And history will just show a 3rd fool in this endeavor

"It fascinates me how square some of these sides are, 90 degree cuts..." Virtually all rock at the surface of the Earth is jointed. They form from the rock relaxing after the removal of confining pressure, the weight of overlying rock. Also contributing are freeze-thaw cycles, which alternately expand and contract the rock. Joints will often form at about 90 degrees in all three axes, and share a similar orientation over a large region, aka regional joints.

FIRST: Understand that when I say you are probably full of crap, that statement comes from listening to ten to fifteen people a year claiming to have found the LDM. This isn't 1977. We have been able to put together many things since then regarding the LDM. If you entered a horizontal shaft or open pit, it was most definitely NOT the Lost Dutchman. The LDM entrance is an inclined shaft of about 6 or 7 feet leading to an underground vertical pit. The quartz vein would have been visible in the ceiling and at the base of the pit. Along one wall would have been a dark gray soft rock (hematite or magnetite). The quartz would have been ABOUT 30% gold content with the gray rock having the same percentage of gold, but in smaller nuggets (wheat kernel size). There USED to be a big secret about "Dutchman Ore". There is one mineral found in very small quantities in the ore that is found in only two places in the United States (not including Arizona). If you think you found the LDM, you should contact one of a few people; Greg Davis (Superstition Mountains Historical Society and Museum in Apache Junction), Wayne Tuttle at Legend of the Superstition Mountains (UA-cam), or Bob Schoose at Goldfield Ghost Town. If you have authentic Dutchman Ore one of them (or myself) will be able to tell in 30 seconds if it is real. Remember, there are several pieces of jewelry made from the ore that a person in Arizona currently owns. We can compare anything found to actual Dutchman Ore.
