"Back on my first contract as an Ordinary Seaman (OS), somebody told me to my face, that I wouldn't last 7 years onboard. He said I'd probably get pregnant, get married, work ashore, or just stop sailing eventually. I DID NOT RESPOND. I COUNTERED THROUGH MY ACTIONS. And in time, I rose above it. Right now, I am a 2nd Officer Trainee onboard and currently on my 8th year of sea service."

One thing special about our VDR onboard is that it has a float-free EPIRB for emergency situtations. That being said, the EPIRB comes with a Hydrostatic Release Unit for it's release mechanism.
