Backwards Blob Lift – NextGen York 100 11-15-2023
Still occasionally working on turning my blobs around backwards and attempting them the harder way.
Today I managed to get my NextGen York 100 to break the ground with both hands.
Musical Inspiration: "Enter Sandman" by Metallica from the album "Metallica" (commonly known as the Black Album) released in August 1991.

Only broke the ground. AND I dropped it. BUT it's progress. And one day I'll be ready for the 30kg Holle Blob. Musical Inspiration: "Battery" by Metallica from the album "Master of Puppets" released in March 1986.
IronMind Captains of Crush #2 TNS Close 11-11-2024

RULES: Chalk only. TNS is understood to be "total no set" meaning no kind of positioning with the off hand is allowed. Starting the gripper on a table is not required. If the gripper is not started on a table, it must be handled loosely with one hand to demonstrate it was not positioned in any way. Musical Inspiration: "Gotta Go" by Agnostic Front from the album "Something's Gotta Give" release...

Random urge to do a face pick with the 24kg Holle Blob became a reality. Can't say enough times how much I love the texture and feel of this blob. Musical Inspiration: "You Can't Bring Me Down" by Suicidal Tendencies from the album "Lights...Camera...Revolution!" released in July 1990.
NextGen and Holle 24kg Combo Lift 11-04-2024
Переглядів 11День тому
Hands were thrashed, trashed, and tired from too little recovery time since I last lifted. But I'm stubborn and still went for this combo today. My left hand was so done by the end that I couldn't even put the Holle 24kg up on the scale with one hand. Musical Inspiration: "Metal Militia" by Metallica from the album "Kill 'Em All" released in July 1983.

I've been chipping away at a Table No Set of this gripper for a while now and that last millimeter has felt like a million miles. But for some unknown reason, the stars aligned today and I felt/saw it close. Hopefully that's clear in my video. Musical Inspiration: "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack from the album "Faceless" released in April 2003.

Still chipping away at lifting a York 50lb Globe Dumbbell in an Inverted Deadlift style. Slight skip at the forty second mark gives me hope. Musical Inspiration: "Undertow" by Tool from the album "Undertow" released in April 1993.
Plate Pinching - 2x35lb Double Lift 10-29-2024 [CAUTION - LOUD MUSIC]

[CAUTION - LOUD MUSIC] Random urge to revisit plate pinching today. I had lifted 2x35lb plates before, but not both hands at the same time for a double. Never know until you go for it. Musical Inspiration: "Ænema" by Tool from the album "Ænima" released in September 1996.
35lb Hub Clean and Press Attempts - Misses Are Just Warmups 10-27-2024

Today was my first ever attempts to clean and press the Marcy 35lb plate by the hub. Bit of learning curve. Trying to be explosive actually worked against being able to maintain control of the plate. Slowing down a bit helped. Musical Inspiration: "Master of Puppets" by Metallica from the album "Master of Puppets" released in March 1986.

My First Full Lift of a 24kg Holle Blob 10-21-2024

Backwards Blob Lift - Old School York Legacy Half 90 10-21-2024
Переглядів 4421 день тому
Picked up (literally and figuratively) an old school York Legacy Half 90 blob for the express purpose of lifting it backwards. My current working theory is that lifting blobs backwards (so my thumb is on the more curved side) translates to stronger lifts the "regular" (conventional) way. Ideally half 90 is a stepping stone to half 105 someday. Musical Inspiration: "Down with the Sickness" by Di...
Opening and Attempting a 24kg Holle Blob 10-18-2024
Переглядів 2228 днів тому
After visiting John Foelber and attempting to lift one of his 24kg Holle Blobs back in July, I pretty much knew I would end up ordering one. And I did. However, a week before it arrived, I had a partial A4 pulley tear on the middle finger of my left hand. And my left hand was stronger at wide pinch than my right. So the 24kg Holle Blob sat at my house for nearly four full weeks before I finally...

Awesome lift Doug! Made it look WAY too easy!
Thanks Chaz! Not certain what clicked since Friday's attempts, but I'm sure glad it did.
Congratulations Doug! Very strong!
Thank you so much, Michael!
How long did shipping take??
Lloyd sent me a photo for my approval on Saturday, Sept 21st and I received the gripper on Tuesday, Oct 8th. So 17 days from the UK to USA. Hope that helps.
So close!
Thanks Tim! Closer than I expected after a month of taking it easy...
Damn good attempts, Doug! That'll be fully lifted very shortly!
Thanks Chaz! Just a matter of time, brother...
Strong work Doug!

Chaz used it at Heavy Hands and again yesterday. So I guess it stuck...hahaha
Good Lift! Making it look easy
Thank you so much!
Appreciated seeing the Whitely chest pull in action. I've got a dozen Whitely/Voit/AMF Whitely/AMF Voit Saf-Tee handle chest pulls in different spring combinations from 1 regular (extremely easy) to 5 extra heavy springs (can barely budge it except for one arm rows). They are quality chest pulls/expanders made in the U.S.A. and extremely easy to change springs on. Despite tons of them still out there that were made in the 50's through 70's and still in excellent to brand new condition I've never seen anyone on UA-cam use one in a video before. I personally love the quality of vintage Terry's chest expander springs but the ones without the clips are extremely difficult to change unless you've got "fingers of steel". Hope you do more videos in the future.👍👍
Thank you so much! Appreciate the comments and interest about chest pull tools. Sounds like you have a great collection!
Yow!
Thanks Tim!
Nice work!
Thanks Tim!
Strong hubbin Doug!
Thanks Tim! Still learning the technique, but I like it.
Good stuff Doug! I'll bring the Fuller 45's to Snack town so you can give the hub a shot after.
Thanks Chaz! The Fuller 45's look awesome. LOVE the old school look but haven't seen a pair in person...YET.
Strong lift Bo !
Thanks Tim!
Awesome lift! Knew this would be cake for you!
Thanks Chaz! It's a start... 👍
Impressive work! You almost got that 117
Thanks Tim! Feels like it's just a matter of time before I close the 117 and the 126 starts quivering in fear because it's next in line...
Good video and awesome lot of grippers! TNS is looking strong
Thanks so much! These narrow Silarukovs help a lot with TNS attempts. More manageable to set and less range to close.
@DougDude70 you bet. I would love some silarukovs eventually but they won't be in the budget for the foreseeable future. I know what ya mean for the TNS, thats what i like about my grip genie 3, but it's too light. I might have to pick up a strong gg4 sometime for that reason, or maybe I'll just have to toughen up haha. Also its great that your silarukov came in at 126 to help fill that gap! I know ya were looking for a 132.
@trits3415 these Silarukov grippers couldn't be more perfect for me. My friend @DoctorofCrush really helped me out/hooked me up!
@DougDude70 good deal! How do you like the knurling on them? I'm just curious if the knurling in all of them is the same, I hear that it can vary on Silarukovs.
@@trits3415 the new ones felt pretty comparable. But my 117 is slightly different and not quite as sharp. Still good enough to keep it from slipping in my hand, though.
Nice work man! Steady climbing…
Thanks, Tim! Trying to climb that mountain...
