3 Healthy Dessert Recipes // Avocado Fudgy Brownies, Strawberry Oat Bars, & Watermelon Pizza

Avocado Fudgy Brownies 🥑🍫
1 ripe avocado
1/3 cup almond butter
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup oat flour
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
✨Preheat oven to 350F
✨Remove the pit from the avocado & spoon into a food processor or blender. Add in almond butter, milk, honey, vanilla. Blend until smooth. Then add in oat flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, & salt. Blend again until smooth.
✨Pour batter into a greased 8x8 baking pan. Pour in mini chocolate chips & gently stir them in.
✨Bake in the oven for ~ 28 minutes. Toothpick won’t come out clean.
✨Allow them to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Strawberry Oat Bars 🍓
5-7 fresh strawberries (sliced in small bite-sized pieces)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour (sub in almond flour to make these bars gluten-free)
1/2 cup almond flour
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla
✨Grease baking pan or line with wax paper. Use an 8x8 baking pan.
✨Whisk together wet ingredients. Stir in dry ingredients. Once well-combined, set aside 1/2 cup of mixture. Spread remaining batter in baking pan till you get an even layer.
✨Spread on strawberry jelly (thin layer) & add on fresh strawberries. Add on remaining oat mixture.
✨Bake at 350 F for ~30 minutes (mine took 32 minutes) or till top looks slightly golden brown.
✨Cool for 5-10 minutes prior to slicing. Enjoy!!
Watermelon Pizza 🍉
Watermelon
1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt (I like Siggi’s, not a Greek yogurt but still very thick)
Pure maple syrup (start with 1 teaspoon)
Toppings: blueberries and strawberries; kiwi, fresh peaches, raspberries would also work too! Get creative and have some fun!
✨Carefully slice a 1-2 inch think piece of watermelon. (Circular in shape if possible)
✨In a bowl, mix together yogurt and pure maple syrup. Add a little at a time and taste test to see if you like the flavor!
✨Spoon yogurt on top of watermelon and spread till you get a nice even layer.
✨Add on toppings: fresh blueberries, chopped fresh strawberries
✨Refrigerate for 10-20 minutes so the yogurt has time to firm up.
✨Slice and enjoy!

    Despite having health insurance, we are still paying so much money for health care….and is it really helping you in the long term? Sure health care, hospitals, practitioners, and pharmacies are important and thank God we have them in case we need them but are you relying on them too much to look out for you? I think we’ve forgotten just how powerful eating real foods is to help us live happy and healthy! ✨Apples, bananas, broccoli, kale, pumpkin seeds, yogurt, grass-fed organic beef, eggs - all real foods that will provide nutrients to your body! ✨Nutrients like: Antioxidants, fiber, polyphenols, iron, vitamins, minerals, probiotics, carbs, fats, & proteins - nutrients that will help your body function like it was designed too. I’m all for having balance in our diet but we need to make eating real foods everyday a non-negotiable. Eating real foods is going to help your digestion, energy, blood sugar, waistline, brain fog, memory, immune system, skin, eyes, hormones, sleep, muscles, blood vessels, heart, kidneys, liver…so essentially the whole body! Need a place to start - eat a banana (and bonus it will be the cheapest thing that you’ll buy at the grocery store!) Stats from the AJMC.     You didn’t shred the carrots the way he does. I think that adds a depth of flavor. The only thing you added was celery and peas. I like making it as is but serving some fresh cooked green beans alongside

    This doesn’t make sense to me. How can you say it’s not dieting but at the same time you say to restrict yourself from junk food by not having it in the house? A lot of people who want to escape diet culture are already prone to restrict and binge habits, throwing out all junk food will just lead to restriction, and when they can’t handle it anymore they will just binge on the junk food. Allowing yourself to have a small treat once a day without feeling guilty is how peak. This whole throwing out the junk food is very counterproductive

    Would you make these? 😋 Part two of making sourdough naan bread for the first time! These are so delicious and surprisingly easy to put together! I was always confused by sourdough and bread making and thought that they were too hard for me to do…but I was wrong. It’s like following a muffin recipe with a few more steps and some waiting mixed in. No one likes waiting in life…myself included but often times the waiting is so necessary and the results can be even better than you ever imagined! I love to eat these with hummus, greek chicken gyros, quick personal pizzas, or even dipped in extra virgin olive oil and Italian spices! 🤤 My healthy dinner ideas recipes video features healthy Greek Chicken Gryos with a Lemony Tzatziki sauce and I used this naan bread for it!     I switched over to using the Thieves Household Cleaner a few years ago and have never looked back! This is my favorite cleaner that I’ve ever used and here’s why: 🧼It is highly concentrated and a little goes a long way! One bottle literally lasts me foreverrrr! 🧼It’s an all-purpose cleaner and I use it to clean countertops, mirrors, windows, carpets & rugs, bathrooms, my kitchen appliances, jewelry, grill….so essentially almost my whole house! 🧼It’s works really well and gives things the best shine! 🧼It smells good!! A light citrus scent - naturally with YL’s oils (no synthetic fragrance here ✌🏻) 🧼It’s safe to use around pets and kids - the whole family! 🧼Free from potentially harsh chemicals ✨ALL-PURPOSE CLEANING SPRAY✨ To make: add 1 capful of the Thieves Household Cleaner in a 16 oz glass spray bottle, top with water, any other oils (optional, my favs are jade lemon, lushious lemon, and thieves), shake and you’re ready to clean!!     Okay, so take a piece of dough, find the corners and bring them in, towards each other over the flat part of your dough. Continue pulling them in and pinching together until you can flip it over and get a round ball of dough. Making sure the seems are facing down towards your cutting board, cup your dough ball with a loose claw (space between your fingers but tension in those fingers) make circular motions. This is what it meant when it said "rotate it to create tension" sorry hard to describe without demonstrating

    For the hamburger buns use the stickiness of the dough to make the top under tension it makes them more uniform also don’t flatten them out keep them as balls and they will be taller

    Wait, my started started separating as well, and i thought it was mouldy (maybe it was as well haha) i gave up and didnt feed it so the water went kinda dark and i threw it after another a total of maybe 5 nonfed days. This was my very first stater, and the test bread was fine-ish, but would appreciate some tips

      My first time making a starter was a complete fail so I get it! Go through my 7 days of making a starter and you’ll see that in the beginning days, I had water separation too! I just stirred it back in and kept going. When the starter hasn’t been fed and it’s hungry the water on the top can look kinda of dark. It’s called hooch and it’s ok! It’ll smell weird too. Just pour it off, scrap off the top if you need too and then feed it again. If it keeps happening, try feeding your starter more flour since it’s really hungry! I find it’s easiest to feed the starter by looking at its consistency. I usually go for overly thick pancake batter. So stick with the 1/2 of cup of flour or whatever you need for a recipe and then stir in enough water until you get that consistency. If you see actual mold - that I would personally toss and then try again. Hope these tips help you! Don’t give up - you can do it! 😊💕
