Yes hand pollination
Nice!!!❤❤
Glad you like it!
Good afternoon po. Saan po kayo banda, Sir?
Rosario Batangas
Where are you guys in Rosario?
Sorry for the late REPLY. YES. Brgy Bayawang Near the Batangas Racing Circuit area.
Emily you hag
Figs are gross, just like you. Wait, that’s mean to the figs. It’s just you who is gross.
Your videos suck, please stop posting. It’s honestly a disgrace to society you are allowed to have a UA-cam account. I hope they ban you guys.
Noon dami ko nadidinig may lason daw tapos ang iba pagkain ng ibon kung kinakain ng ibon yan eh di walang lason😂😂😂 at mamamatay ang ibon kung may lason
Hey Dave and Emily! Your back, how was your holiday 😜. The grass is looking well mown. Greenhouse frame looks brilliant, can't wait to see with roof and plants. Take care and hopefully see you both soon.
Hi Dave and Emily, curious to know latest developments on your farm. Did the greenhouse get completed? How many of the 200 eggs hatched?
Ako, How big do the double bananas grow?
Just found your very interesting channel, never thought figs can grow in tropical climate.
They seem to be doing fine as long as not standing in water, We put them in tires to help raise them up a bit for better drainage, Stem borers seem to be our biggest problem
Can you give me some free rooted and fruits? Bcuz my mother so wanted to taste and plant figs have a great day.😍
A very big green house with a great bounty forecasted. As you sated, soil looks good. I bet the farm really keeps you busy... Nice size. Stay safe.
Yes it is big and hard to keep the Jungle beat back, We are extremely dry at the farm right now. Only one small rain in the last 3 months. Unlike the southern parts of the Philippines. I only have a rotary tiller for the small tractor and the ground is like concrete in the big fields. So I am ready to till it up soon as we get a little rain. I will post a video in a few days as we doing a few things at the farm now preparing to put the green house to use. Thanks for watching and Stay tuned
Hi!! Would you happen to be selling small batches of figs? Thanks. :) great farm btw!
I do sell marcots/air layered seedlings but i'm out right now. Some of my marcots are still hanging on the tree. Will post later once it will be ready. Thank you
@@emilyevans5037 that would be great. Pls let me know when. :)
hi ,hows your figs there?im a fig collector ang i live in subic. What variety has a big fruit do you have?
What are your fig varieties? Do you sell cuttings?
We have over 80 varieties. We will sell cuttings once we the green house set with mother plants.
An excellent planting figs again, part 2 video! Thanks for sharing and best wishes and regards/Ned
Thank you, Dave and Emily, for this wonderfully relaxing video. I enjoy it tremendously. Good luck and wish you all the best. Be safe, stay safe, stay healthy! Best regards/Ned👍👍
love berries we can now get frozen blackberries and rasberries here in Dumaguete Dave is the green house finished
Well , The Frame work is done. But we are Having a big problem with finding someone who will tackle the job for attaching the poly. There seems to be nobody in our area that has a clue how to do it, However we do by chance have someone who is going to give us a bid this week. Hope we can get this thing covered soon, Thanks for asking.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 seems odd for for the Philippines they can do almost anything here. But you get it done soon
@@philippinesunriseanexpatvi5459 We are really looking for someone with some kind of experience to attach the poly. I was not cheap and we do not want holes or tears in it from day 1. So that is kind of the problem we are having.
Did you fire him or send him to jail? Teach him a lesson or two!
Yes he was fired, We have video confession which we handed over to the City police Office. He is still on the loose we think. He does have a warrant of Arrest out on him.
Just subbed, you have a nice place there.
It will be nice if we can keep weeds under control
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 my biggest problem are these ferns that constantly grow, tough bastards, we grasscut every 3 weeks to keep them down
You and your wife really know what your doing
Nice to see you eating fig now Em!
We started planting another row of Figs already new post in a day or so. We want a few rows of Dragon fruit also when time permits. Thanks for watching and Stay tuned
You have a great farm there
Thanks, We have along ways to go still, We have a lot of things planned, if we can only get it all done one day.
Hi David & Emily. ❤❤
2T oil and 2T fittings will look the same to me if you won't make it clear what you want!🤣🤣🤣
2T's 😆
Farms looking good Dave! To bad the soybeans didn't come up...
Not sure what happened with them I guess the seed the wife got were all bad. I was able to bush hog the entire patch just before the rains started again. Stay tuned for next up load
Balikbayan Farming with Dave & Emily, Dave, I have questions regarding compost/fertilizer. Will shoot you an email.
We do organic as well but sometimes you just need a boost. Also, our farm is way to big just to use all vermicast and cow and chicken manure, CRH, and rice hulls as our only fertilizers. but we do when we can.
I wanna see Emily driving the tractor and you picking' in the mulberry patch. 🤣 Thanks for stopping by the other day and dropping off some veggies from the farm. Ness made some crazy recipe with the okra that included mozzarella cheese. Guess we can call it Italian okra???
Dave, What are mulberries?
They’re a wild berry with a wonderfully sweet flavor and are packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. They are easy to grow from a single cutting and start bearing fruit in about 1 year, Our Main plants are about 2 1/2 years old and we get fruit 2 times a year mostly. Similar to a Black Berry with fewer seeds in my opinion. Give it a google lot of info out there. I Can't wait to have several rows of these trees.
looks like you got whipped
Those figs would make a nice strong wine! 🍷
We have been planting Mulberries & we have about 50 grape vines soon to be planted. Just need to figure out how to make wine with all of the fruits on the farm.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 It's simple just watch some UA-cam videos on basic wine making.
Hello again Dave and Emily You will have a good deal of produce very soon (Knock on wood). The poly seed planter is essential to a good farming method, a time and effort saving! Another good investment for farms... Thanks for sharing, good luck! Best regards/Ned 👍👏👍
It works great for most row crops. Only draw back is the ground needs to almost dry as mud collects around the medal fingers. A real time saver for sure. Thanks for watching and God Bless
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 🤞🙇🤞
Hi Dave and Emily, a proper job with the red oxide primer. Maybe you could also use part of the greenhouse to store your tractor too. Will there be sides as well as a roof?
Roof plans done we hope. The sides will have either cyclone wire or a wire mesh, with insect/bird proof netting. Still shopping around for that. I might get a few meters to park the tractor until she runs out of space. lol
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 Hahaha 🤣 yeah Emily and Agnes the same 🙄, Mayana plants have taken over here. I make barrow loads of potting soil, can't make it quick enough.
Hello again Dave and Emily Thank you for sharing your fantastic greenhouse progress! Some figs taste like the sweetest honeydew! I can just imagine the taste of your fig... Thank you for sharing! Best regards/Ned 👏
We have had a few figs ripe already but that one was by far the sweetest. One type I forgot tasted like strawberries. We have a lot of varieties and we will see which ones do better in the field or the green house.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 👍👏👍
Glad to see you are almost finished can't wait to plants growing
It is Basically going to be a Fig Tree Nursery. It will hold all the mother Trees and small area for other plants. Well that are the plans. Hope to upload another update in a day or so. Thanks for watching
Hi Dave and Emily, looks really good, well done 👍. I'm interested in the caster wheels you got for the scaffolding. How were they fixed? Where did you get them? How much?
I got them from Lazada They have several sizes 6 and 8 inch I went for the 8 I will shoot a video today when we install and do an update on the Green House. They are range from 500 to 800 php per wheel Depends on if you get some already in country or from china if you have time to wait.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 cool, could send me a link to the particular 8"castors

@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 Thanks Dave, I have ordered the same. They will make moving the scaffolding around a lot easier. I bet Emily is otching to get some plants in the new green house. Take care guys, catch up soon.
I love figs can't find any here in Dumaguete
The Wife has a few hundred different varieties she is working with. We will soon see which ones will do best in our area. I had a fig the other day from the farm that had a honey comb after taste very very sweet.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 sounds great
Looking great Dave! Could you please email the information on the surveyors that you hired. Thanks Pierreparfaiteiii@yahoo.com
Done check your mail Hope that helps
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 Got it! Thanks so much!
nice farm what province do you live
Batangas, South Luzon , Near the Batangas Racing Circuit. Farm is about 25 acres , Keeps us busy
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 nice Farm if this virus ever dies and not such a hassle to travel would love to take a trip and see it meet you
@@philippinesunriseanexpatvi5459 that will be great once this covid mess clears up.
nice greenhouse it's a big one
12 X 24 Meters, about 3000 sq. Ft.
Wow! When is the music concert guys? 😜 Dave are you sure you're not building an aircraft hanger 🤣
Hope we can get it done soon. Yep it is kind of big.
@@balikbayanfarmingwithdavee2484 what will cover the frame?
@@philippinesgoodlife We are going to use what they call dry Net for the Roofing and maybe some poly not 100% on if the whole roof will have poly or not. Then we will use PVC coated Cyclone wire for the sides with CC net under the cyclone wire if we can get it all put together. Our Welder should be done this week then we have to get a good coat of paint on all those pipes to make it long lasting,
Wow, greenhouse is coming along nicely! Sure is big!
12x24 meters in size about 3000sqf Hope they will finish soon so we can start painting and get ready for netting and some plants
Just watching you makes me realize how much I miss you guys...😊😊❤❤
Really do miss you too sis, I also miss all my family in Tennessee, We hope that travel will open back up so we can come back home before to long,
san kaya makabili niyan
Plant them with seeds planter. Good job 👍
Yes worked great on Peanuts and Corn. We tried Okra after I put some bondo in a few of the holes to keep from having it to thick. Wish I had this when I was a young growing up on the farm.
Hello again Dave and Emily Another nice green house update video, great that the greenhouse build is back on track! Hope the new welder will do much better than the last one. Thanks again for sharing! Good luck and more blessing! Best regards/Ned 👏🌹👏
We are seeing good progress, Lots of cutting and welding yet to be done but the progress is positive at least. Hope to post a update in a few days thanks for watching.

I was so happy to hear you say you're going to get me a sucker off the ice cream banana plant! 🍌🍦
Yes we are going to try to do a Tissue Culture of Bananas on the root ball when we harvest next time so we can get more seedlings
Hello again Dave and Emily Fascinated and wonderful farm, God bless! Many Thanks for anther video sharing... Good luck/Ned 💐🤝💐
