Excellent !
This also appears on the Readers digest box set "Joyous Noel" catalog # RDA-57A released 1968. Disc 4, side 1, track 5. Not sure if this is the exact same recording. Anyway thanks for providing the original 78 RPM record.
Don't know where you found this Scott... But this is my dad All Winter... I'm Tim and that comment from Mark he is my brother !
That's awesome! I've had this record for many years - it's a good one!
The great tenor Gigli admired Sir harry Lauder as an artiste
Very nice!
Russian culture when it is at its best. I don't want that Putin guy ruins our european friendship, the people of Russia who are against the war and wants peace are still fellow europeans, the rest can live in Siberia.
Absolutely the best O Tannenbaum I’ve heard. It can absolutely be listened to all day long.. perfect.. soothing
I wish I could have been in the room when this was recorded. Imagine the power of that voice and a pipe organ combined.
Thank you to the nice commentor for putting the words on this. God bless.❤❤
A legend.
Such a sweet unpretentious rendition of one of Cole Porter's loveliest songs.
Awesome!
The Bob Steele radio program used to play this recording. I loved it 70 years ago and I still love it today.
we all like ike!
Nice job remastering for this recording!

The Leverett brothers held a revival for my dad at Flint Michigan Nazarene Church. They stayed with us during the revival and what a treat to hear them sing. I have these records somewhere.
Never knew this beloved children's song had such depressing intro
thats a great song

WOW!
I have an old Victrola, and this song is among the numerous 78s that came with it. However, in my recording the singer caught a cough and had trouble singing the song.
I thought no one could surpass Nellie Melba’s recording. I was wrong. She is incredible. Thanks for sharing this.
🥰
The first tune is "Spiel, di Fidl, spiel"
A lot of talk about Sovereign People, too bad no one is in the Republic; everyone is in the United States democracy as U.S. citizens. No one knows how to be in the Republic nor act like a sovereign.
Amazing. Haven’t heard that since my childhood around the campfire in the 60’s. My aunts would sing it, harmonizing.
蔡奎燁 氏 의 못잊을 사랑( 戀ごころ) ,, 고맙습니다.
They misspelled the composer of the song. It's "Crumit" not "Grummit" The song was published in 1925 but Paramount didn't have electrical recording until a little later. The sound could be improved a bit with a decent cleaning and finding the best shape and size stylus.
@@manidig it’s been cleaned, it’s just been played to death. Paramount pressed this, but did not record it - it was recorded in Kansas City. And if you’d like to buy me an assortment of styli, it would be much appreciated because I can’t afford them. Beggars can’t be choosers. 🙄
@@scottmusil7881 OK. After collecting 78s for more than 5 decades my ears tell me a lot when I hear a worn record. Yes this is quite beat. And it might not have been a very good master to begin with. My ears tell me there's more audio in those grooves. Could it possibly be vertical cut? How does it sound in Stereo? I only have 5 styli and am able to work wonders. I'm not saying I'm great but I can get a lot off a noisy 78. And that's before filtering and de-noising.
@@manidigit's terribly recorded. I have one other KFEQ record, and while it's in great shape, it does not have good sound. They're electrically recorded, c. 1926 - 1928 (I forget exactly when), but on terrible shellac. They're all laterally recorded.
@@scottmusil7881 "Terribly recorded." Yes I know. My grandfather in the early 1930s bought an RCA Victor console radio with the built in "Home Recording" accessory...pre-grooved blanks and a special cutting stylus put into the playback head to cut with. THOSE are tough to extract sound from. He later bought a proper Presto J recorder that used a cutting head and cut on lacquers. Less than perfect capture of the sound can never be overcome sadly.
Typical swedish, funny song. 😅
Underrated singer; not so bad band from Andy Kirk's band.....3 stars.....
Thank you very much for providing this rare piece of Reardon mastery
THIS MAN WAS INCREDIBLE. BOTH WITH ARTHUR COLLINS AND HERE AS A SOLO. THEY SAY HE HAD A SENSE OF HUMOR THAT WOULDNT QUIT.
So many Snowflakes around here…
I love it
In their book Country Music USA, Bill Malone and Jocelyn Neal describe Milton Brown’s vocal on this song as “the finest done by any country entertainer.” They also spend some time on Bob Dunn’s steel guitar style: “He played the steel guitar like a horn, with his short, staccatto notes resembling the bursts of a trumpet.” (p. 162.)
Dunn started on a trombone.

This is great. Denny was the best and the record itself is so loud and clear!
If it weren't for I Love Lucy I would never know this sung by Carol Richards. Hers is the best version.
