@thelefthandd in making these videos I didn't realize how many times you run into the same broods so it's been fun to see when you fight them. And yea that dragoon AI is just A+. It's them and the Goliaths haha. Goliaths can't target correctly half the time and dragoons can't process stairs correctly.

@@chonky4841 I have also been playing this game since '98, just hit 40 this year. I started replaying to compare the dialogue between this and SC2, and I can't believe how much I prefer BW

@bstjules yea SC2 is fun and all but has nowhere near the impact as SC and BW

That was necer the case when I was farming this route a long time ago. But maybe they changed it

@@chonky4841 when I was farming these on my wizard. I would exit to town. Then when given option to continue dungeon or restart, I would continue and start at check point. Main bosses don’t respawn but these mini bosses do.

For the most part it's still relevant. It doesnt include the Tier 3 Elite Sets or the new abilities that were eventually added. But the class still operates the same more or less.

@bstjules I always wished they gave us a more 'heroic' ending. I felt like that did our boy poorly by making his psi blades short out.

@@chonky4841 Same! It felt like the cinematic was made before the character was fleshed out. Like why would his blades fail?

@bstjules from what I remember reading the teams behind the cinematics/gameplay/general design hardly communicated. So that's why some things are off. Like in the last protoss cinematic the mutalisks were still spitting acid instead of the glave worms(which was a design change later). And in the Amerigo the Hydralisks only move and attack by using their scythe arms.

@@chonky4841 Yeah, I read the same thing. I actually have the OG Manual that has 'Acid Spray' as the mutalisk attack and the queen has the glaive wurm listed as an attack

I really thought about doing an updated one for each class once I got all the ragewind content out there, but with how the game was seemingly abandoned after it left early access it made me not want to make content for DoS anymore.

I touched on that a little bit in my Chonky's Intro to DoS videos, but that was before the nerf on Nightmare Difficulty. I would say once you get close to lvl 20 start testing out if you can survive in the first dungeon on Nightmare. Once you can start to survive a bit then I would go straight for farming your Tier 1 set, which I see you already saw that video. Once you get your first set farmed up I would start running the actual dungeons and get some Eternal Essence

I dont have the exact stats right now, but I'm wearing 6/6 Supreme Magister and using 3/3 of the Chaos set. My gear is either 4 or 5 stars, with the biggest pieces being 5 stars. Most of my gear is giving % bonuses to Vortex/Chaos Orb/Meteor/Cone of Fire/Fire Armor

@bstjules for me it was episode 2 that really had me chomping at the bit for more. Getting a chance to use reavers and getting Fenix for a 2nd mission in a row had me really enjoying the protons campaign over the Zerg. The protons campaign in Brood War was my least favorite but in the original SC it is my favorite campaign.

this class is a lot of fun. especially once you get the Tier 2 armor and get constant aggression

@@chonky4841 I bet. I'm only lv4 at the moment but I'm loving how fluid the combat is. What I love the most is unlike other games when lag happens, this one accounts for it and tries to actively prevent enemies from still doing attacks while you're lagging out. It gives you a chance to actually react to what's going on in time rather than suddenly getting slapped with half HP gone in seconds during boss fights because you couldn't just guard and dodge in time. I love that it actively tries to combat such an issue. Not only that- I like long dungeons that it has. It's fun to not do little 10-20 min dungeon runs like in most games so it's entertaining for a good duration.

I'm here every weekend for it as well!

The number of devs working on the project still was greatly reduced. While we may get bug fixes here and there I don't think we're gonna get any of the big content updates that were teased over a year ago
