Testing and archiving unique and fun builds for Helldivers 2!
Helldivers 2 - "Plasma Assault" - Terminids w/ Randoms - No Commentary Casual Diff.7 Gameplay
This might be a bit of a strange take, but I’ve been really enjoying the PLAS-1 Scorcher after it received a full auto firing mode during the 60 day balancing patch. In fact, I’ve been enjoying the full auto Scorcher experience so much that I decided to try making an entire build around it, supplementing the Scorcher’s ammo efficiency issues by pairing it with the Supply Pack. To further commit to the Scorcher as my true primary weapon, I neglected to bring an additional true support weapon. Instead, I chose to alternate between both the Commando and the EATs, drawing inspiration from my “No Fly Zone” build. By layering my uses of the Commando and EATs and making the most of their short cooldowns, I can ensure that I always have some form of anti-tank utility available for not just myself but also my teammates as well.
Since I brought the Supply Pack with the intention of using it to supply the Scorcher, I also brought the Bushwhacker and Impact nades, both of which also output high damage but at a steeper ammo deficit. The Supply Pack also ensures that I will have enough Impact nades on hand to use both offensively against groups of Terminids and also against bug holes. Lastly, to give this build some bug breach control, I chose the Eagle Napalm strike for my last stratagem slot.
Overall, this build was a fun personal challenge to utilize the Scorcher to the max, which worked surprisingly well. If you like blitzing Terminids with your Scorcher in hand and impact nades and anti-tank rockets at the ready, this is the build for you!

Looks cool! If the Scorcher works anything like the Plasma Punisher, I might have a bad time with Stalkers up close, but Fortified Armor might help with that. It's cool that Arrowhead upped the Frag Grenade capacity.
4 minutes into the video and you ve only killed one armor’d unit(charger) your teammates are killing them off b4 u ??? Don’t see what’s so great about your loadout ????
not all builds have to be all-rounders! this build is more oriented towards killing chaff and medium-armored enemies with the AMR :)
@@Smurfington-u7kI mean if that’s the way you like too play then fair enough,I must say though I truly believe in being able To deal with every threat that stands b4 me with ease ???? If your gear is set too deal with swarms then your stratagems should compensate that 4 bigger enemies???? Don’t you think ?
@@robertmair514 Not every player needs to be a heavy killer, killing chaff quickly lets other players concentrate on heavies.
That gun is actually meant to melee as well. When guys get close, you can kill them in a stab or two

I don't fully understand why you would use armor that gives you protection from the Gas if you don't use any weapons of that type.

sure did!! The eagle smoke projectile can destroy fabricators if it’s a direct hit :) (I should also note that this does not work with Orbital Smoke unfortunately)
I was using the heavy machine gun with this combo. It’s my new favorite loadout.
All it needs is a better sight and a clip and I'd probably use this for every drop.
Clip reload would be nice!
The constitution isn’t a bad gun, it a fun gun. People need to remember not everything has to outshine another

Just watching this video proves I wouldn't have the patience for this kind of build lol. Everytime I play Bots on levels 9-10, I feel like I'm playing Dark Souls with how many deaths I cause for our team lol. Random question I just thought of after seeing the Eagle Smoke Strike in action; do Smoke Grenades or Strategems pair well with Sentries? For example, if you call in a Rocket Sentry or Autocannon on a Terminid planet then drop a Smoke on it immediately before the Sentry spawns, would that essentially camouflage it from Chargers or Bile Spewers attacking it while the Smoke is active?
Light Armor against bots = Death Souls experience for sure xD excellent question!! from my experience, smoke stratagems also disrupt the Sentry targeting :( however, given that the Arc Thrower can target through smoke, maybe there is some utility that can be found by pairing the Tesla Tower and Smoke stratagem as extra protection...

Verdict is just so reliable: quick reload, high rate of fire, good damage and breakpoints, lots of ammo, quick and responsive. I'd take it any day despite its lower armor pen than Senator.

so I just did a mission on Mastia, where the DSS is orbitting. Sorry to say, but the DSS is operated by traitors. Damn thing is a team-killing machine.

Not using scope on scythe is cosidered treason and I WILL report you to the nearest democracy officer. Seriously though, that triangle third person reticle is just awful.

Isn't diff 10 better to test stuff on? It isn't that different from 7 tbh and is pretty chill nowadays thanks to many buffs.
good question!! unfortunately, my PC can't handle the larger enemy numbers above diff 7 :( I also like to keep my build experiments at a lower and more casual difficulty since admittedly there are already a lot of content creators who cover higher difficulties! :)

Scythe is honestly pretty underrated against bots, long range, ultra precise, no recoil, infinite ammo sniper that pops devastators' heads in less than a second, but you should bring railgun or verdict, senator for striders tho. Different levels of zoom also made it way better.

On lower difficulty the spear and sentries work quite well as the frequency of bug breaches and heavy armored enemies is much lower. But once there is a bit of chaos on difficulty 10 the spear runs out of ammo pretty fast and the sentries will be overrun. On difficulty 7 it's a fun build though!
yeah, I'm afraid this is one of the builds that might struggle on higher difficulties...might have to stick with the team more and rely on resupplies more often there! :)
I'm pretty sure jet brigade will attack Gaellivare soon meanwhile most people are sending DSS to Mastia so defense of Gaellivare might ne pretty impossible to deal with and majority of players will be on Mastia to test DSS anyway. Maybe we will be able to go for gambit tho

The Dagger is the most underrated gun in the game. Many Divers always run Senator because "S Tier heavy pen" even if it doesnt fit to the loadout at all. And then they wonder why they get swarmed when their Crossbow and Senator need reloads and the anti heavy support doesnt help in that situation. Las Dagger is exactly what you need on a reload hungry loadout that lacks dps.
PREACH!! Love the Dagger, especially against the Jet Brigade :)
How could anybody hate the spear? It’s such a great heavy hitter and outshines even a few stratagems at taking down large targets

Honestly all it needs is to lose the ability to lock onto mid tier enemies and more damage so it can more reliably 1 tap heavy enemies apart from the factory strider, given it's ammo capacity i don't see that buff being a problem

I like this loadout, but I think switching the autocannon sentry to the eagle cluster bomb would get you more kills, but then the downside is that the spear would be the only thing for heavies, anyway just my opinion on it, I'll try both later and see which gets more kills.

Why the spray and pray over the incendiary breaker?
good question!! this was uploaded right after the first 60 day patch update, in which the Breaker S&P was buffed to do more damage and fire in a horizontal spray pattern. While the Incendiary Breaker does perform best when paired with the Supply Pack, I wanted to see how the Breaker S&P performed post-update. My overall opinion is that the Breaker S&P does well with or without the Supply Pack, but the Incendiary Breaker really needs it now that its magazines are reduced. Feel free to swap between them, especially when a Supply Pack is involved!! Just a matter of preference at that point :)
I admire you for strategically using Orbital smoke. Not many people realize smoke is good for reducing the pressure of enemy fires by blocking their vision. Breaker spray and pray are surprisingly useful if you engage bots in close range. Maybe due to recent damage buff ? Idk.
yes, orbital smoke is underrated!! and yeah the Breaker S&P does really well against the Jetpack bots especially since it can easily ignite their jetpacks :)
