Thanks for giving it a shot. If you had listened through - it's only 17 minutes - you may have discovered that I don't disagree with your premise, but that ST is - and has been - evolving from its first appearance. That doesn't inherently make new content good or bad, though it can diverge from the premise Roddenberry wanted. That said, Section 31 is not well made, regardless of canon, non-canon, or for that matter any genre.

Given the amount of time they had to create the movie, and the star power of Michelle Yeoh, it feels very amateurish and rushed. I have no idea how this was approved for production. Thanks for your comment!

Plot was: Georgiou had an 'ultimate bomb' made to destroy the quadrant if she was ever ousted or killed. But when the man who was runner up in the Terran Hunger Games killed himself on presenting it to her, she ordered the bomb destroyed. Instead, it was hidden away, but someone found it and smuggled it to the not-mirror universe, and tried to sell it on the terrorist market. Section 31 is assigned to retrieve it. There are so many jumps in reasoning and logic that the plot falls apart on examination. This would be a great candidate for the show, "Rewrite!" Thanks for you comment, Sweetie!

Yeah, that one can be a crazy challenge. I think ( and it's been a while) that I did that in a large number of "Swarms". The 2500 beasts was a lot easier: play the episode, "Partisans" - just don't trigger the consoles. I wonder if you team for that one if you can share the kills?

There's a lot of chatter about Section 31 going on - both good and bad. I'm going to read through it, but I'd like to keep an open mind for the show. I really want to like it, and I hope it can revitalize the franchise - but to do that, it's going to need to bridge the desires of old Trekkies to see what they know and bring in something fresh for new viewers. Let's keep finger crossed.

Silent Running reduced me to tears and I still have a strong emotional response when I see it. I fell in love with Trumbull and Bruce Dern after watching it, but I wasn't aware the whole film was made on an aircraft carrier. Brilliant movie.

The audio balance is always a challenge, and it seems to be different every day. WHy oh why can't the MS and Streamlabs and Twitch people make it consistent, one way or another?

Depending on the event, I do tend to do the 20 hour cooldown (when RL permits.) It's the stupid early ones that take a toll, so I like it when you can 'bank' an event / TFO. Then I only have to wake up enough to turn it in.

My Hubs played Eve Online back in the day. He enjoyed it greatly. I never saw the charm in it, but I think that's why so many different games are out there - everyone can like what they like!
