why don't you just buy a handheldiy backplate? it's just 25e inkl Shopping and u have the oem if u care about warranty

They should really make a kit with replacement back plates so that you can avoid warranty issues and physical mods to the ally that hinder its quality design.

I know you said that it affects the weight, do you know specifically how much heavier the new battery is? like maybe give a weight comparison compared to the steam deck. I'm thinking about upgrading too but I just wanted to be sure that it's still reasonably light.

How many hour did you charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent? And can you check the wattage it can charge when it close? The stock battery can have a 65w which support fast charging, I think this battery can only charge 35w when it is off. It will also give you high temp when you do a benchmark with turbo. Does the back cover fit? will it damage the metal ring for back cover screw?

Nice footage, my dear friend. In the end, you fail to explain if the temps get worsw or better on the cpu. Could you tell me if it feels hotter in your hands? I think you should also run hwmonitor while running some taxing apps in the background to understand how the cpu temp is acting. And I would appreciate that feedback. Cheers from Portugal!

Bought the ps5 pro, and sold it 1 week after. It was a horrible experience. 99.9% of games on ps5 don't support it, and won't. And the new games that do, still drop below 60 in many of them sometimes in to 40s cause of it's old cpu. I couldn't deal with 40s, and 50s fps anymore. Built a gaming pc and man oh man, what a treat!!!

With some of the prices of the newest graphics cards from intel and stuff, it is definitely at a point where buying a pre-built pc can be a similar price to a console... So yea I'd say right now is a good time to pick up a PC for gaming.

Soyo still have the RX6600M (RX6600 mobile gpu equivalent but soldered on a PCIe board) for less than (us)$200, they are still excellent for a budget build and they don't draw a lot of power . EDIT: I saw in the comments a guy who had a bad experience with a Soyo RX5700xt , I personally did not have any issue with them BUT when you buy on aliexpress always make sure to buy from a reputable seller (like the official store of the brand) . When you see a lot of sales without comments = avoid , no sales = avoid .

Being using the OG ROG ALLY Z1E for about 2 weeks now buying it in the 2nd hand market. Comparing the price, pros and cons with the ALLY X i would say the OG still wins hands down except for the battery capacity. Planning to mod upgrade the battery next year so at least i can play GOW Ragnarok medium setting for 3h when going outside 😂
