Great Plains Restoration Council provides good paying outdoor green jobs & nature-based work therapy for youth facing social & emotional stress /and or incarceration on one of the most endangered native ecosystems in North America- the 10,000 year old Fort Worth Prairie. We're creating a wild Prairie Park over 4,000 acres in size on the backdoor of 8 million people while providing critical refuge for exhausted local and migratory wildlife like the grassland nesting birds and Monarchs who fly up from Mexico and Central and South America, while helping select youth help themselves develop processing and adaptation, tensility, critical thinking, full-scope wellness, stamina, consequences of actions, communication, teamwork, living as part of the ecosystem of our lives which includes us wherever we are, and a. lot more including becoming all around more unbreakable.
