These little guys are washing up all over California. I took one home and put it under the microscope en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velella

any ideas how I can get the trace to stick around longer?
Miniware DS211 oscilloscope attached to Korg Monologue

I just taped the probe to the headphones cable. This $40 oscilloscope seems to work ok but the refresh rate is slow when the bandwidth gets wide enough to see low notes.

Pregnant dwarf bunny pulling fur to build her nest
Hi i see this is from 5 years ago but i was wondering fid the problem appear in a short period of time after you got this hub or you had to ride a couple of years to make this happen because i am in the same situation got a new hub a couple of months ago and it is making this noise absolutely the same thing and if i have to replace it i will just switch this crappy hub to a higher quality like hope or dt swiss
Few years. The bike was 4 years old in the video
so sharky!!
Someone get a boat and a crane to add at least enough slabs of rock geometrically positioned on the bottom at an angle to make it peel longer
You slowed it down and put hero music to it. Aren't you original
There's no slow motion in this. No?
Most people don't know that before the breakwaters were built long Beach had incredible surf! Fact
James bond music for the mush burger novelty.. such shark bait there. Sketchy
Only surfed this spot once growing up. Thanks to a zodiac my pops used to have. I'd love to get back out there with a ski.
It was fun watching from the platform
Whoa I didn't know that there were people on there
@@benchcomptons yep a few of us
You guys were ripping out there! I passed by on my outrigger canoe and was stoked!!!
Yeah we saw you out there! Epic day on the ocean
How are you liking the DS 211?
The refresh rate is too slow for this kind of stuff but if you're not trying to watch a signal move it's fine
@@benchcomptons so, not suitable for use with a synth?
For a syth you really can't beat an analog scope. Old Tektronix can be found for $100 and they look frickin cool
Why were the saw waves mirror images of each other?
I think the x axis is backwards on the oscilloscope on the Korg. If I connect my Tektronix to the synth it matches the DS211 scope
😱😱😱😱😱!! Need more likes? -> 'Promo SM'!!
It's fun to joke about it now but it also kinda seems like someday soon human agency will no longer be able to have any effect on the world compared to what ai will be able to do. It reminds me of frodo offering the One Ring to galadriel, and she responds, "And now at last it comes. You will give me the Ring freely! In place of the Dark Lord you will set up a Queen. And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!"
Hahahahahahahaha
Hello. Have you solved this? My Mondraker makes the exact same noise and I think I'm going mad. :)
Yes. One of the pivot bolts was cracked. A shop figured it out and had to send away to mondraker for the part.
cool i would like to see more like this
Hi! Did you fix your problem? Have the same issue (noise) on my rear wheel but could not find the culprit. Thank you!
Replace the freehub
you did, you had the inside of the peak first off, and you also stood up while he was still paddling as well
Hey thanks!
This actually sounds pretty musical :D
@harfenuegle Computer science is just awesome.
whoa, that does have a dark macabre feel to it.
@cronos4d The bumps at the beginning are possible locations for an electron. As time progresses the places the electron can reach change. The change is governed by Schrodinger's wave equation in its time dependent form. How probable it is that the electron is found in a certain region is related to the height of the wave.
@OpenSourceSci it's the modulus of the wave function. Color is just what matlab's 'surf' gave me by default. No tensor products anywhere, the Chebyshev polynomials are used as an approximation to the complex matrix exponential e^(iHt) to advance the solution of d/dt psi = iH psi
What's actually represented here: is the height the modulus of the wave function and the color representing its (complex) argument? What I'm more curious about, though: how many basis functions did you need in each dimension? (You're using a tensor product of Chebyshev poly's, right?)
boooooring!!!
I think it needs a key, as in musical key and not every note possible.
I think it's 40 or 45 feet.
