Well, that brings up a really good question how many hens per rooster?Can you run in a grass cow situation. So I guess I am asking how many roosters can get along together.

I tried to call yall not too long ago and nobody called me back. It's said on the answering machine that you've got messages in the afternoon and would call the next day. Anyhow i wondered if you could come to the farm and purchase your chickens. If not why don't you arrange orders for pick up at your front gate?

Interesting breed, quite spectacular in height! In Portuguese, it is not pronounced HIGANTAY as it would be in Spanish. In Brazilian Portuguese, it isvpronounced INJO JIGANCHI. Nice series you have on chickens. Learning a lot. Thank you!

New with this breed. I have 6 now and I am trying to figure out which ones are hens and which are roos.

I feel much the same way on some Mondays. And when I have to see the doctor. Dude put his all into it! You go, Roo!!

Roosters crow all the time. They'll crow before the sun comes up and late in the evening if they think they have a reason. They crow in order of rank within the flock. The Top Rooster (Head rooster? Lead Roo?) will crow first, then all the other flock roosters will crow. They have pecking order fights to settle crowing order and will jump at each other if a roo crows out of turn. They signal to other roosters (other flocks) that this is their territory. They learn other rooster crows and have an idea of where that rooster is in relation to them. Listening to the sound battles between my and my neighbor's roosters in the morning is funny.

Not only did I learn a lot, but I had a fun time doing it. Chickens for life
