Je réécoute les 20 dans la nuit de mon 61 ème printemps au 2ème jour naissant de janvier 2025 : je suis nouveau et éternel...Merci à vous Yvonne et Olivier Messian.Je vous ai découvert alors jeune adulte, grâce à l'interprétation des 20 par votre fils spirituel Roger Muraro.Je l'ai rencontré avec d'autres membres du jury à Marseille lors du 1er concours international de piano Pierre Barbizet à Marseille fin décembre 2024: 3 jours mémorables organisé par la SMAC. Oui , tout est grâce pour ceux qui décident de sentir plutôt que de penser pour être et agir. Je souhaite que cette année commencante 2025 se fortifie toujours davantage en hommes libres. Qu'ils construisent un monde libre plein d'Espérance et de Fraternité concrètes. Qu'ils allument avec courage et audace ce feu apporté sur la terre par Jésus, l'Homme idéal,fils du Père Créateur, Lui le chemin la vérité et la vie incarné pour nous ouvrirla voie. Merci à Jules et tous ceux qui m'accompagnent au quotidien depuis l'éternité : BC, MW, RA, EP, LP, NP,XB, GCJMP. Oui, je décide d'être toujours plus un pont entre matière et lumière, monde créé et monde créateur, afin de rayonner du mystère de cette joie imprenable donnée par la foi = confiance en Lui, le fils du Père créateur du ciel et de la terre ...🌐🙏🤲.😍

This is awesome! 😁 I love the sound he gets at bar 227 (or at 4 minutes and 14 seconds) with the left hand and pedal. It's like the most brutal metal tone, waaaay before extreme metal was a thing!

It is so incredible that such an unresolved final chord could give such a strong ending effect. Almost like the true resolve is so obvious that it's not even needed explicitly. What an incredible artist.

If anybody knows which CD this comes from, I would love to know! Is that the West end "Royal Trumpets" towards the end?

Comme c'est triste que Messiaen n'ait pas découvert qui était vraiment Mère Teresa- une sadique et une hypocrite, qui refusait de donner des analgésiques aux malades. Dans ses hôpitaux en Inde, les aiguilles jetables étaient lavées à l'eau froide avant d'être réutilisées. Elle transférait l'argent qu'elle recevait sur des comptes secrets à la banque du Vatican. Il y a quelques années, il est apparu que les employées de ses hôpitaux étaient aussi impliquées dans le trafic d'enfants.

This is the piece that should have been played at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral yesterday. The spectacular effect it creates and the imagery it evokes would have been perfect for the occasion. I also think Messiaen does the best job of playing this that I have heard.

Ce fût ma paroisse pendant plus de 10 ans, la première fois ça m'a surpris, mais j'ai apprécié de plus en plus. Il était croyant, il a joué pour le baptème de mon fils, une nuit magique, pleine d'Amour on se croyait au paradis.

Last movement is a perfect example that messiaen can write beautiful music.
