I had a thoughI was just wondering what cams you are running with that turbo. If they have too much overlap, it will never build up enough pressure to spool up. Just a thought.

Funny story, well not really funny. Saturday morning, we headed out to the rock. Because as you know, when it says scattered showers, it is more than likely raining in one little section. SO, it rained slightly in a fdw places along the way. We get to the track, it was dry, gates were open, but no onobody was there. Then my son, checks and it said on the website they called it off. So, next time I guess. oh welll.

Its always the way, on the way to get it and poof. I was on the way to concord to pickup a bike from the raliegh area, got almost to concord, guy texts me and says it is already sold.

Funny story, I had a guy with a turbo on his buell, long time ago. It had dial a boost, which after lectururing the guy repeatedly about leaving it alone. He finallyy blow it up the last time, and brought it in fried, lots of broken pieces. He never thought to dial back the boost. I rebuilt it with much better componeents. HWne I rode the bike, the boost was over 20. I made ti so thethat no matter what he adjusted it was locked in to what I set it to.

First 8883 seriesmtheb Buell series, as well as various twins sracies, and a few vintage heavyweight and lightweight twins races, formaula 1 and formula 2 twins. I won't be competeting, as i can;t really ride anymore or eve see very well. Hard to get out of your system thought. My son, has shown an interest in it and since he is an engineering student getting teady to trabsfer to NCSu, figured it would be a good learning experience as far as theoury vs. practice.

Thaks for the channnel. I used to tune a bike bacback in 91. iT was a used /repred 87 1100. by the end of the first season we had it running a best of 11. We bought a totaled 2001, fixed the front end. and it has sat for the past two years. It when i first got it rback in running shape from the slavage yeard, it thumped pretty good. Iit dropped a cylinder because of the cheap ass ultima ignition that was on it. I took it apart to fi the base gaskets leaking. somebody had put some money into it over its years. It had a wiseco over bore ith andrews n4cams. currently waiting on a gasket kit and ignition system. Doing some things iwth wheels and other stuff. Hopefully he can be out there getting some prractice in at some point this year. Our local tack is Galot in Benson, but also not too far from fayt=etteville 710 drag strip. I think we are going to the rock in may just to watch at the ahdra drags.

Only reason for running a wider wheel is availability of a quality drag specific rear tire. Depending on horsepower you can totally run a stock rear wheel

It seems like you've had a helluva time with the swingarm offset and centering of the back wheel. For someone who might want to get into this, is all of this trouble worth it to run the aftermarket wheel instead of running a stock or oem replacement wheel? I can understand stretching the swingarm, but everything else seems like a whole lot of roadblocks.

I notice you mention chromoly pretty frequently, what about it do you like so much? I gotta say, I found your channel while looking into how to build a drag bike and you are the only one I've found so far that goes into this much detail. I've watched every video thus far and really have my interest piqued into wanting to build my own.
