Irina Petrakova was born in 1981 in Siberia in the city of Ust-Ilimsk. Now she lives and works in Moscow. In 2011 Petrakova graduated from the Institute for Problems of Contemporary art founded by Joseph Bakstein. In 2014 she finished Anatoly Osmolovsky’s institute for contemporary art BAZA.

Irina told us about how to cancel the skill of classic drawing, how to react to criticism and what why would a human lick the fur.

But this ending or I'll say succeeding will be for all the ppl who doubted my life and my existence. ... The piece was beautiful btw.... Thank you
