    this is the hardest topic of the bible that i have my best friend is gay and i love him just so so much and he wants to get a relationship w God and I wanna see him in Heaven and i still have years upon years to think of this but my thoughts right now are in the bible it’s clear that if humans were intended to be gay or it wasn’t a sin then God would have an example in the bible and his thoughts would be clearly good on it then it would be in there but God time and time again states man and woman husband and wife it really really hurts me to think of that bc i used to be gay aswell and i know i felt ridiculed and hated when i was just there to love and that’s why this topic just hits me so so hard. if u have anything to add lmk because this is a topic i really want to figure this out yk

    Thanks for sharing. This has helped me. I had no idea that God may give us something we should keep secret/to ourselves. It does makes sense. I will make more of an effort to be discerning. I have an issue that mostly I don't recognise God's hand until the moment is gone. I want to recognise him and discern situations and things around me better.

      I’m so glad to hear that this video helped you! I totally understand the feeling of not recognizing His hand until after the moment has passed. You should write down all of these occasions in a journal. This will help you recognize a pattern of when and how He usually speaks to you the most. I’m here for you as you navigate this!

    So when was the story of sodom and Gomorrah put in the bible?The bible has always frowned on same sex relationships just stop.Or are you gonna say that story was mistranslated too.Also man should not lay with man as with women.I think it’s pretty obvious to me what it means.To me your better off saying you just don’t agree with the bible than saying it can be interpreted different ways.Besides it’s not just the bible who doesn’t accept gayness but other religious books as well.

  • @Monetxoxo
    @Monetxoxo 15 днів тому

    This video randomly popped up on my feed and I believe in my heart that God wants me to respond. So, I don’t think anyone should be judging anyone, or be mean towards gay people. But I also have noticed that people will take constructive criticism and biblical correction as “judgement” when it is not. Even the Bible tells us we should correct each other. But yeah, Judgement is God’s place and he will judge all of us accordingly. I’m sorry that you felt anger towards God and felt (if I’m not mistaken) conflicted about him and Christianity because of your sexuality. I used to be bisexual and have had relations with girls, so I understand. However, I will say that yes there are many scriptures that may not be clear, however there are also many that are clear. Leviticus 18:22 and Romans 1 are both clear in that they both refer to sex. Just food for thought, have you noticed that the Bible doesn’t showcase homosexual relationships? In the case of Sodom and Gomorrah the men of the city were trying to get to the angels and God burned the city to the ground. Jude 7 said that Sodom and Gomorrah pursued unnatural fleshly desires. That wasn’t the only reason God destroyed it, but it was a main factor. Romans 1:24- 28 says the same thing about unnatural desires and it’s very clear what God’s message is here. “Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.” ‭ We can’t suppress the truth or try to change it because the only person we are hurting is ourselves and our relationship with God. He does not change because of how we feel. We have to change. I had to change. As hard as it may be or seem, God will help you through anything. I’m not condemning anybody or judging but the Bible is here to instruct us on how we should live our lives to please and develop a relationship with our creator. It is not always going to be easy but it is worth it. I wish the best for you Sydney and all of us in our search for God and his son Jesus. I will pray for all of us as well. ❤

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I respect the journey you’ve been on and the way you are navigating your relationship with God. Like you, I’ve deeply sought to understand what the Bible says about homosexuality, and through study and prayer, I’ve come to a different conclusion. First, it’s important to recognize that the specific passages often cited, such as Leviticus and Romans, are not necessarily addressing loving, consensual, same-sex relationships as we understand them today. Leviticus is part of the Old Testament law, much of which we no longer follow (like wearing mixed fabrics or eating shellfish). Romans, on the other hand, seems to address exploitative behaviors, idol worship, and sexual excess, rather than consensual, committed same-sex relationships. It’s about people acting against their nature, which doesn’t apply to someone who is naturally gay or lesbian. Sodom and Gomorrah, often mentioned in this context, was actually condemned for arrogance, lack of hospitality, and violence (Ezekiel 16:49-50)-not loving same-sex relationships. The Bible doesn’t depict homosexual relationships because the cultural understanding of sexuality in biblical times was very different from ours today. Above all, Jesus’ teachings were rooted in love, inclusion, and understanding. He spoke of justice, compassion, and the worth of every individual. I believe that God creates us in love and that includes the full spectrum of human sexuality. The fruit of the Spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control-can be seen in healthy, committed LGBTQ+ relationships, which for me confirms that God blesses such love. We’re all called to live in love, and I believe that includes affirming who God made us to be, in all our diversity. I hope this helps, and I too will pray for you as we all seek to walk with Jesus in grace and truth.

    The idea of sin is stupid. The Bible claims the price of sin is death, however humans have only been in this planet for roughly 300 thousand years and death, suffering and pain have been present way before our recent presence on earth. People who claim the world is the way it is because of human sin, do not study or are simply ignorant to the facts. Studying biology, history, geology should be your priority, not a book that says the sun was created after earth's formation or that doesn't even mention the dinosaurs or 1 of the 5 mass extinctions earth has experienced. All they could come up with are stupid stories or that a man ended up in the stomach of a fish and survived. Bullshit.

    • @linasuleman5327
      @linasuleman5327 15 днів тому

      were you there to know that we've been around for only 300 thousand years? No you weren't no-one was there, so don't claim it as fact, cause it ain't

    • @Monetxoxo
      @Monetxoxo 15 днів тому

      Im not trying to be confrontational at all, but how do you know that humans have been around for 300,000 years? None of us know that, we can guess how long but not definitively. The same can be said for the sun. You accept the Bible as fiction without really studying it. I don’t know for certain if dinosaurs existed or not. But if they did, the Bible says that God created animals, dinosaurs are animals. He may not have specified but that doesn’t make God’s word false. Also have you ever considered that scientists can be wrong or even distort history to deny God. Unfortunately, It happens all the time especially when writing history books, facts are distorted to sugar coat or completely erase aspects of human history that they don’t want people to know about. Scientists have been perplexed for years at how human cells can regenerate and produce more, but yet humans get sicker and die. Some wonder why that happens. However if you read the Bible the answer is there. God created us originally to live forever, hence why our cells are formed the way they are, but because of sin humans get sick and die.

      I understand your concerns, and as a Christian who believes in science, I see the Bible as more about spiritual truth than literal science. It addresses the human condition and our relationship with God, while science explains the natural processes of the world. Faith and science aren’t in conflict-science explores how the universe works, and faith offers meaning and purpose within it.

    "He doesn't call the prepared; he prepares the called." -- I love this. We must accept his preparation daily and find the flowers growing within ourselves. I've noticed changes in myself recently because when we are lost, he doesn't stop searching until we are found. This journey back in my faith has made me realize how distant I had become from God and myself. I feel so much more myself recently. I have been braver in letting go of negative things and not holding onto them. It's a learned skill that prayer has been a tremendous help with. I have found community in others with whom I never expected to form friendships. Lastly, I want to add how much fun I have had listening to your podcast, and I literally feel like you're speaking to me every time. You're doing such a great job.
