Searcher 3 days @ Cortez Bank 8/25-8/28
We went to Cortez bank on our 3 days and we killed BFT from 20-40lbs. ON the first day I got my 3 day limits of 6 BF. The rest of the trip I just handed off and the rest of the BF away to other anglers. I think I caught like 20 fish on this trip. It was pretty much WFO if you have a lively bait fished with 25# flouro and a #4 circle hook. Super fun trip with the crew from SJ!

Aliso& Laguna 4300ft of DH 4K

We started in Aliso crossed over to Laguna side and did a few runs over there before I ran out of battery on my new Canyon Strive and have to head back. About 26 miles with over 4k of Vert and same on the DH. Great day but pretty beat after the ride.

Apollo 2 Days Drago Custom Rods Charter

This is my first charter this year on the Apollo. We had a great time with our usual crew as well as some new faces. A few guys flew in from Colorado, Florida, and Chicago for this trip. Spankee tried the 2nd alt line on this "secret" trial and it didn't work out too well for him. Bad crash but he made it out unscathed other than a bruise ego! :D
Aliso slippery when wet!

It rained lightly the night before so the dirt was awesome. However, it was slippery on the rock rollers. Still fun never the less when you're riding with your buddies.

That was a crazy little crash but what's nuts is your cracking up and then just sat up there instead of going down right away. More worried about getting on video. I'm glad your friend was alright. That part he went down looked like they were making it a second option.

Car Crash, Hole in the fence, intervention to sloppy seconds, jump line. There's a lot more trails out there as well.

@@rocky123garcia 240 sardine. It was super slow during the day as you know. We got 28 BF at night on two stops. We found the schools and called in other boats.

there is no such thing as a secret trail since ya'll wanna be youtubers/influencers started showing the trails. This makes no sense. By the way Bong Drop is in Aliso Viejo LOL.
@@design_in_malice I understand your confusion, but behind not name dropping is for the simple fact of namedropping will bring attention to the area, since these trails are in sensitive areas for OC Parks, not namedropping will keep the trail less known to the public because it a) keeps the name out of the mouths of the masses, people cant share what they don't know b) keeps riders off of the trail, for instance, if an average joe rider takes on the challenge and gets hurt, needing medical attention, that raises a huge red flag to OC Parks, thus they will shut the trail down for good and patrol the area giving tickets to riders, on top of that, once this starts to happen, less and less people ride the trail or do any maintenance and the trail gets claimed by nature and disappears forever c) has a psychological factor to it, people associate with names, so for example, if your video was secret trails instead of the names and they wanted to find the trails but did not, they would most likely forget after 24 hours, but since the name was dropped, if they couldn't find it, they would still have that name in the back of there head and pursue the trail and that will lead to b) or a) Also I would like to thank you for saying the full name of the trail and telling people the more exact location + if you didnt want to be a "wanna be youtuber/ influencer" you simply would not have posted this on UA-cam, have a lovely day :)
@@TumorWarrior67 so lets not name the trail but still post the video for views on a trail that is sensitive to the area of the OC parks, makes a lot of sense "youtuber". How about not film it instead, ain't that a better idea? I used to ride this trail way before everybody wanted to be a youtuber and never had a problem with tickets.

You could, but the spine won’t be the same so you’d have to re wrap the guides.

Phuong Bui, we were using custom GUSA 130lb class rod with Shimano TAC 50 for the BF.
Very seriously (owner of about 7 skin cancer removals), think twice about the backwards hat and protect your skin. Fact is, even turning it the right way, you STILL get eaten alive cause the sun bounces off the water and fries you. Those cloth things work the best, but at least sun screen. Lost of great fish this year, and lots of faces--roasted alive. Trust me--I know, it ain't worth it.

About 25-30mins Hoa. It was a tag team effort.
