Here to comment and run it in the background, thanks for the repost.
What's a pre-amp? Sorry, I couldn't resist!
what a rip off for 25k give me a break edit: they couldnt even use good metal standoffs geez
Well done for this reupload. Time, I think for Tom Evans to withdraw his ludicrous, ungrounded copyright claim. Al it is doing is damaging the reputation of his company further. There is some justification for the paralleling of op amps in the design as it can reduce noise levels but it needs no 'genius' to recycle decades old designs - just a little bit of research. This is 'genius' of the Donald Trump variety and something we can do without in the UK. By the way, I'd recommend a perusal of the Tom Evans Audio website. It's a very amateurish piece of work for what claims to be a cutting-edge company.; not least because of the appallingly poor use of English. It looks as if it was written by a 10 year old.
The build quality is junior-high-school-science-project level. My *sincerest* apologies to junior high school students worldwide.
Well posted sir.... 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Commenting for the algorithm!
Similar to the project I submitted for HND in 1994. Except I was asked to start again and use better components. I built a Phono Preamp from ETI and, although expensive, it was less than £25,000 by several factors of 10. Still waiting for Tom Evans to show himself and justify this nonsense.
This whole story is weird... Customer sends amp to Evans for repair. Claims Evans wants too much money to fix it, but doesn't say how much. Has Evens mail the amp to Mend it Mark and claims Mark won't be able to fix it (hearsay). Mark receives the amp, and shipping company damaged it as shown in Mark's video. Mark, not only fixes the amp, but repairs the damage quite nicely. Was the amp damaged when shipped from owner to Evans, or Evans to Mark. Or was the amp damaged, then sent to Evans? We don't know. The strange thing is, why did Mark go through all the trouble and hours to create a proper schematic for this amp with nicely punch holes and bound into a neat booklet? An amp he will never see again nor need a schematic for. Mark laughs about how cheap plastic stand-offs were used, shows metal stand-offs in his drawer as what should have been used, yet, replaces all the broken plastic stand-offs with more cheap plastic stand-offs. Wouldn't you upgrade it for your customer?, you had the parts in stock. Customer too cheap to spend 3 dollars more? Or was there some other reason.... We see a short video and think, wow, that was quick and easy fix. But what we didn't see were the numerous hours Mark put into this amp, reverse engineering it, creating a manufacturers grade schematic, and fixing the "shipping" damage. How much did the amp owner have to pay Mark? or was this all theater to trash Tom Evans? I'm not here to judge what the value of the amp is. Obviously, the owner bought it. New or used, working or broken, we don't know the real story. Did the owner buy it used "as is" fully knowing one of the channels didn't work, and trying to scam his way into a cheap fix to possibly flip the amp for a profit? Only the owner and Mark know the true story. And there is obviously a lot left out of the story. Meanwhile, the hivemind crowd with no critical thinking, jumps on the bandwagon to trash Evans.

Thanks for reposting and supporting Mend It Mark 👍
The more I watch this video, the less I see Tom Evans had to complain about.
Looked at it again, just for Tom
Im positively LOVING Mark’s channel!
Thanks for reposting this, and for standing up for both the right to repair, and acquainting a wider audience to Mark’s excellent work and cheerful nature. In a better world, Tom would see the stupendous PR blunder he’s made with the copyright strike; shall we give him the benefit of that doubt? As for extravagant over complication of the design, anonymizing of “secret sauce” and flimsy construction, well, know we know what £25,000 buys you.
Vergogna a chiedere tutti quei soldi per un prodotto bruttissimo, un plasticone con schede di bachelite ramata a fare da schermo. Molto molto male questo produttore che si è pure pernmesso di fare ricorso per un suo prodotto orribile.
YES !
I was baffled to see the guy had ground away the prints on the parts to make it harder to replace. What a D move.
Not harder to replace. Harder to tell they are cheap copies of brand-name, first quality components.
Now I know why TE is upset, He did an amazing job fixing something he said wasn't fixable.
Wow! It seems like UA-cam is only serving me one video. This one! It's been uploaded so many times.
I will not look the whole video again, I am just here for the comment and then I will let run it til the end in the background - just for the algorithm - lets spread it!😉
Me, too!
Haha I came to skip through the video for the algo as well.
Nice!!!! _Many Thxs for the video!!!!!!
what a blessing Mark is to the owner. wow what a cheap ass tom Evans is. Thanks so much for reposting this.
Everytime I see this video I am absolutely disgusted by the build quality of that pre-amplifier. I would not pay 250,- for it, let alone 25k! It's a piece of junk. Keep sharing these videos so Tom can learn what the Barbara Streisand effect is. 👍
You're too poor to even buy a $250 pre-amp
Poor Tom Evans. Word is he's dropped from producing 10 year to 5 a year due to his time being spent filing bogus copyright strikes on UA-cam.
YEAH! More MIM 25K Mr Shame Evans. Thanks for the video!
the high end percussion is noticeably hissy or gassy, I wonder if its possible to get cleaner sounds. is the track made from individual stem prompts or just one big prompt?
just one big prompt on this one. it was the inception of single prompt to audio. that said: could rip it to pieces with stemming tools and rework the hats in a pinch. :)
@@twobob thanks. I need to figure out how to use the software, only came across it today
@@spoony01428 okay. here's another thing then using musicgen, and a seed audio track gist.github.com/twobob/f4b9fb0b42e9a4f1128ded662f0fb41b That was kinda fun to use. Managed to get it to 860 seconds on a 3090. Not quick. And again would need running over with demucs. See line 39 for a howto demucs.separate.main(shlex.split(f'-n mdx_extra --shifts 1 --overlap 0.15 --float32 --clip-mode clamp \'{file_path}\'.wav'))

Thank you! I've been trying to access this model for a long time since the demo went down, and I've finally been able to use it again, thanks a lot.
cool
Hi there , Im a complete newbie to all this . Im trying to follow the how to.. but I keep getting a blank screen with a Loading box in the bottom left when I go into google colab ? ive registered a drive account and weights and biases . Not sure whats going on really. Im on a Mac OS 10.16.3 , so its pretty old . Is that the problem do you think ? Any help appreciated thanks.
Im guessing your browser is the issue?
@@twobob I’m gonna try it later, thanks for replying.
@@twobob it works! Thanks. I’m feeling real dumb now ☺️ . Will probably be pestering you in the near future. Exciting isn’t it ? Not the pestering part , ai I mean . 😃
is there no way to run this without google colab? like, fully offline
just download the files. adjust the paths to work locally. install the deps in the python environment you are going to use and rip out the colab bits of the main loop. Totally doable. Probably could ask chat gpt to do that
When I tried to run the last part, it gave me a green tick instead of continuing to run, and my project on W&B says "Failed". I have already done the chunking process, so is there anything else I could be doing wrong? Thanks!
link to your files maybe. That sounds like the error in Logs on W&B (might glean something) - I recall there is a text version somewhere in the runs. WANDB is down atm so I cant test . sorry
Thanks so much for the quick response, I didn't have one of the models on my drive XD but it's up and running now. Seriously, a gigantic size thanks for all your work on these tutorials, I'm having a blast playing with this thing @@twobob

Hi, thanks very much for making these videos! When I run this colab, I get this error: ''ar' object has no attribute 'nopad'. No chunks are created. I searched the discord and found other people having this same problem, but I didn't find any solutions. Is there anything you might suggest?

dude i'd pay you to read a book for an audio book your voice is perfect. also thanks for explaining it. got a bit of trouble on how to use this
I love your vids but man am i sleepy now. voice is so soothing lol
hah. next time may I go with "advertising shouty man"
mans is whispering
will knock up the levels in future vids
All that work and you didn't even have the courtesy to play the tracks at the end! Urgh, it's so frustrating. Lol, not really. Thanks for the info
eh. didn't miss nothing
I have volume cranked up to 100% and still have tremendous difficulty trying to hear what you're saying. Such a shame because this is nonetheless an amazing video.
okay. i can provide a loud version if you need it. or the automatic subtitles should work
@@twobob appreciate it. i actually did get a lot from the video, my comment was more like a suggestion on what you could improve. love and peace to you.
@@shfunky and taken as such. AFAIK youtube doesnt allow reposts. The volume was auto levelled in BlackMagic Resolve. next time the settings will be higher, thanks for the feedback, I do recognise that amidst this sea of compressed offerings something less frantic loses the noise war ;)

These videos are extremely helpful Twobob, thank you so much for uploading 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I’m a musician who’s incredibly excited about the possibilities of diffusion in the audio space but I have no prior experience with coding, using github, google colab, etc. So watching you go through these things has helped me a lot! I’ll see you in the discord 🤘🏻
Happy to help. Will keep an eye out
Fantastic
Thanks man. Lots of love into this

the demos of my model sound great but while generating audios on this notebook it sounds weird, like slowed down and more deeper, I'm guessing it's because i need more training? but I'm not sure because as I said the demos sound great EDIT: I think I found the issue, it was something dumb :P
Hello, thanks for taking the time of making these videos as they are really helpfull for me, a completely begginer, but as the beginner that I am, I have some doubts, my main doubt is, is it okay to have each song separately on wav files like a full album where each song of it is a separated wav, and if so, do I have to ensure myself that there aren't any moments of silence? I think that could affect my final model, correct me if I'm wrong
Hi. This script removes optionally removes silent chunks. turn STRIP to True for this to happen.
@@twobob Nice, and thanks for the response :) I'll be trying it out soon
