Hello, my name is Mark. There are over 800 miles of hiking trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you are fortunate enough to hike them all, you will have hiked well over 900 miles. My goal is to become a member of the 900 Miler Club.
This is the meaning behind my channel name. And this is my journey to become a 900 Miler of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Who knows if I will ever make it to 900 miles, but I will enjoy it anyway. Several people have asked me "If you like hiking so much, why travel up to the National Park instead of just hiking around here?" There are a lot of nice places to hike around here to be sure. But comparing Great Smoky Mountains National Park hiking with most anything else is like comparing a Corvette to a Chevette.
While many of my videos will be about hiking in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, I will also include videos about other parks and other hiking trails on this channel, plus some local events as well.

The info said it was a 1st-Century BC Allobrogian warrior chief. So somebody buried way before the cathedral was built, and they built it on top of him. I wonder how often that has happened throughout history - getting something hundreds of years or millennia later on top of a grave?

Hi, thanks for stopping by my channel. It was open to the public, at least it was back when I did this hike. I haven't been over there since so it may have changed. But there was roadside parking enough there for two cars, which is plenty because I don't think anybody uses this entrance very much.

I can see his influence in so many other films and TV series. I wonder if the Creature from the Black Lagoon was an influence for him? Some of his art reminds me of that film.
I read that in addition to Alien and Species, Giger also had a heavy influence on Dune before David Lynch stepped in and took it over. Then his influence was narrowed down a bit. Giger said he always wanted to work with Lynch because one of his favorite films was Eraserhead - that movie gave me the creeps, so I can easily see how it appealed to him.

We all know uss Alabama played as two different ships in films she played as Missouri in tommy lee jones back then Iowa class weren’t museums at the time. She also played uss Indianapolis in both films 1991 mission of the sharks which is good one I highly recommend to watch and horrible Nic cage film Men of courage which is far the worst uss Indianapolis film

Hi, thanks for stopping by my channel! The climb up the AT to get to the tower was definitely worth it. On the flip side I did NOT enjoy that Lost Cove Trail on the way down. Very steep and covered in leaves, so it was like "leaf skiing" for a few miles.

The last time that I hiked Crib Gap it was snowing pretty heavy. I was dropped off up top hiked Crib, Turkeypen Ridge, Schoolhouse Gap and ended on Chestnut Top. It was beautiful. Nice bear ya saw.
