It's not really any more comics accurate than its MCU accurate. The game takes inspiration from both but builds its completely own history and lore that incorporates them both into this wonderful amalgamation. I feel confident to say that in my opinion this game iteration is just as good as any of the films or comic runs and will confidently stand on its own feet. Drax is done especially well and Gamora is so much more in this game than just a "green babe in distress" or "team murder mom" like she is way too often depicted as in the comics and even in some of the films. It really is a shame that there won't be a sequel for this game.
