I have a letter that is in JPG format but I want inkscape to copy it. I choose the bitmap option but when I go to my pen plotter to make it, it creates an outline of each letter and then fills it in. This makes it look bad. I just want it to copy the letter as it is. I tried even using hershey txt but since this is a bitmap it doesn't seem to work. Is there a way I can tell inkscape to make a single stroke line and not an outline?

Isn’t there a way to buy a brush like this rather than creating it?😊

Hi how to vectorise letter

Your tutorial is wonderful, I'm just having issues with my transform tool when try to select the line on my first duplicate layer. The transform tool surrounds the outside of the square instead of the line. It's so frustrating as everything else is so clear. Can you give me some idea as to why this is happening and how to fix it, I can't seem to rectify it 🤦🏻‍♀️
