Me & the family go an a trip to visit the old fort at Fort Erie, Ontario. The fort goes back to the war of 1812 & we visited the visitor centre there, then explored the old fort & its buildings & finished with a show of a musket firing. It was a good place to visit with lots of history.

IM UP THE ROAD IN EMERALD LAKE...HOW DO I GET THERE ???
Nice ! My Dad would get off the ship at the first dock and back on at the last one. :-)
I mixed a third cup oxalic acid in a qt. of water and I saw no fizzing at all. I tried soaking crystals for 48 hours and here most of the crystals didn't disolve so no change. I dumped it and refilled it with hot water then mixed till all crystals disolved. I'm leaving it in for 72 hours. If that does work I'll have to grind it off. I'm trying not to alter the shape of my crystals so we'll see.
Hey, I'm going on a trip through Canada soon and would love to visit this amazing locale. Could you provide some coordinates? I'd be happy to give something in return
i wasnt expecting that. nice crystals
I have the line stone can I do business with anyone interested please
Union jack and the Ontario flag. What you doing in my backyard bro?? Skimming all my detecting spots without me eh!!
lol no came to see the ships.
@@ontariorocksrelics LOL! 😉
good stuff my man
WOW! Any applications in forensic science?
Not sure I think probably just good for a project & for fun
Ah yes thank you 🙏
You forgot the most important part of the tunnel. It was used in the great movie starring Christopher Walken, The Dead Zone. The director just did some effects to make it look longer.
Insulate insulate insulate. Make sure there is a lid and keep it closed if not feeding or tending.
If you want to succeed then you need to contain the heat with minimal loss and oxidize the fire as much as possible. I.e. blower stoker or directly add o2 with an oxygen concentrator. With wood you are better off with forced air and use the venturi effect to add pure oxygen.
Appreciate the advice thank you
Id love the converse shoes. Sadly, you can't save them
It is one of the most ascribed legends of Quadeville. I don’t believe a word of it. The owner of the rose quartz quarry died. His widow remarried. Her second husband cleaned out a lot of junk, and found a concrete statue of a woman neither of them wanted. So, one night, he took it out to a rock in Cameron Lake nearby, and cemented it in place. Within a couple of weeks he heard the story that the statue marks the place where an indigenous maiden 200 years ago, pining for her lost lover, cast herself into the lake and drowned. Within a year, the Indian maiden story was part of Quadeville’s factual history. If anyone wants to know how an unlikely story, an impossible story like the resurrection of the ragged rabbi of Nazareth, quickly becomes “Bible story”, just think of the Indian maiden of Quadeville Ontario.
Fun video and an excellent haul.
Definitely a good year. That large vein piece is super!! The float at the end was great too. Glad to share the experience when you found that. I had a pretty exceptional year as well. Here's to 2024!! 👍😁
Sweet finds, I hope that Lead tag was found where I showed you that I had found some along with coal. , did it say CPR on the other side? I know I have found a couple with GTR for the Grand Trunk railroad , I think the lead seals , sealed the railway car doors for a tamper proof seal
Nice haul ,good video .Perfect time for a Silver post
keep experimenting. i like the idea of using bread dough as a mold medium. pun intended.
Would you have the owners info . I live close and always wanted to go
Not bad, pretty cool , that bismuth is some neat stuff, did you find the bismuth with the Detector?
Most of the bismuth I bought online in bulk for this project specifically. I did find some with a detector but not enough to melt down though.
What is worth anything ? Was it worthwhile ?
I guess this try wasn’t the best result. You never know though. Sometimes you get nice stuff exposed underneath that is worth to a collector.
What is the best tools to bring? I have a friend coming to visit and thought this would be an awesome activity.
At the diamond willow all I would say you need something to dig with, & maybe a mallet & chisels to breaks rocks apart.
How do I find these places?
Usually lots of research, taking to other collectors. Keeping eyes open what mineral specimens out there are for sale & what area they are from.
Who and how do you go about getting permission?
That’s the hardest part. I know people that been there & they gave me contact Info. Being part of a mineral club is best as you got lots of people that can help you get i to place & know the owners
I drive 12 hours to cobalt last summer and mine straight in a stope silver ore, but unfortunately it was mostly cobalt ore, only one piece have silver into it, cobalt its the best place to go
Nice. Never bored going up to cobalt. Hard to find silver there but it is still there.
A productive trip!
Is this the big park around collins bay, that has a train bridge?
Hi Andrew! 👋🏻
Awesome. Thanks for the info. Can’t wait to go back to this site in the spring, too bad it’s so much iron here.
That Camaro is pretty sweet lol, and the big brass thing is a pressure regulator for an oxygen tank
Good video Michael. Enjoyed. Have not been bottle digging in a while.
What a dump
cool video
You took some really nice pics ! Enjoyed the local area footage too. Hope you found some good silver specimens while you were here as well. Take care & best regards !
Nice!! Colors are awesome! 👍
I work at a limestone quarry in Indiana and the quartz here seems never ending. I have two 5 gallon buckets filled with it. I also find a lot of pyrite fossils here as well. Good stuff.
You maybe paddling over lots of cool finds on the lake bottom. I understand that back in the day, they completely drained the lake to mine it.
I some stone
Cool, very cool!!
Forgot to mention about the copper cup. That's a great find !
Some really cool finds ! Were you up in the Cobalt area again ? I was hoping to run into you next time your in the area. Anyway, enjoyed the video & best regards.
Ya around cobalt backwoods mainly. I usually head up on the may 24. You have found sone awesome bottles man. I am still waiting to find my first intact stoneware bottle with writing. Think that & a embossed milk of magnesia bottles are near the top of my list. And of course poison bottles of course lol
@@ontariorocksrelics I believe I have an extra embossed Milk of Magnesia I can give you & I'll check also for an embossed stoneware too. I'll make sure I keep next May available when you come up again. Take care & best regards !
I’m Still Jealous over that Sweet Silver coin you found a while back, and those ink Wells, you found by silver sidewalk…, I found a few lead tamper tags like that not far from Silversidewalk where I think the T@NO train would stop, Because I found a lead Seal there too 😃
I also found a massive piece of silver there by those Lead Tamper seals in the swampy area, it was covered by 2 drill bars in an X pattern , layed like an X , I ended up selling it for $2200.00 lol
Just too add , the Lead seal tag I found was T&NO and another GTR , which I thing is Grand Trunk railroad
Nipissing 704?? There was a 404. Cool bots, probably from the 40's.
Hi Coin and Relic 😃, I haven’t been to cobalt this year but I’ve had amazing finds over the years
@@Kev-N42000 That's great, finds as in silver or bottles? I've found a good bit of silver from the old mines. I haven't dug bottles much up there.
@@Kev-N42000 hey. Looking for bottles & silver is the best. Just exploring around & finding stuff, hopefully. Never gets tired of it
Could be 404, or bag number 404.
Homeless remnants?
Nice finds!
Hey are you on Facebook and where you from if you don’t mind me asking?
Looks good!! More like a relish than a paste though. 😁
It’s true, but it’s good stuff!!
@@ontariorocksrelics Hot stuff always good
