@@mattyfish33 thanks. last question, what are the dimensions of your tank? I just bout a tank today which is 4 feet in length, 1.5 feet in width and 2 feet in height. i think thats about 100 US gallons? How many fish can i keep in it

Yes he is not sure what his hap side is though I think he is ob/tangerine tiger for the parents

@SFLfishingoutdoors there are many variant of ob color and size mostly depends on what the cross is and then however it was linebred beyond that. They are a man made fish mostly

I have everyone identified except for him. I know he’s not a hybrid, because all of the fish from the store have so far been true to their breed, and had clean lines. I posted on the Cichlid forum, but everyone there thinks they’re experts, but maybe they’re not lol. They thought he was a blue dolphin, but he’s not. Someone else said Placidochromis Phenochilus, but he doesn’t have any chips and he is already 3 inches. I know I sound sassy about the forum, but they told me that I should cull my polar parrot cichlids because polars are always in pain and deformed. I thought that was terrible advice. Those Polar parents had about 75 children. I’m going to rear them up in the 40 gallon breeder but haven’t decided what to do once they’re a little larger. I don’t know if you do show requests, but I would be interested in how you have your sump system all set up

I can do a sump video on both tanks that have sumps with more specific details on how the danio fry lived in there for sure if you like

I worked my guys into a little more salt but the max I do is about 2 tb think of it as 1tsp for every 15 gallons changed I tend to just eyeball it ( being a chef helps lol) Be sure to use pure natural sea salt, kosher salt can be used but cut back by 50% as it has more salinity

@@mattyfish33 I already have the fish in a 40g breeder. The wave maker is their favorite thing and they are not aggressive. we are moving to a 55 gallon and eventually 75. but they will be in a 55 for the next six months probably. I’ve got 3 red zebra, 1ob red zebra, 1 cobalt blue zebra, 4 yellow labs, 3 Kenyis, 1 male yellow rock kribensis, 1 very blue african cichlid (not sure his variety), and 3 peacocks- (1 sunburst and 2 gray possibly females). I bought them all very very small but a lot of them are very large now. Lol. That’s already 17 fish and I really don’t plan on adding anything else.

this all started on one fish who I rescued because he was being bullied and that’s how I got into cichlids lol at least half of my fish are rescues, that’s the downside of visiting a pet shop lol but I’ve only been keeping fish for about a year now. My goldfish I have had for about two years but they are easy😄
