how do you make these videos, i know the website is zoom earth but how do you make the satellite follow the storm?
Every frame is a screenshot that is manually taken using the "PRTSC" button on the keyboard. PRTSC automatically numbers your screenshots in order. On zoom earth you can press "s" to toggle system tracks and forecast cones, and by clicking on the white-outlined dot, it automatically centers your screen with the center of the storm. So what I do is I click on the dot, take a screenshot, and move the time forward by 10 minutes, then click the dot and take a screenshot again. You just repeat that until you have taken a screenshot of every single satellite frame of the storm. Taking all the screenshots depend on how long the storm track is. Hurricane Dora took almost 3 hours of just screenshotting. I don't know how to code, so I don't have some sort of bot to take the screenshots for me. Once I have my screenshots, I go to gifmaker.me/ and insert 100 screenshots at a time (for some reason inserting like 30 more or less messes with the animated video's resolution). Make sure to order the animated videos by renaming them into a number. When I finish turning every 100 screenshots into a video, I use LoselessCut to combine the videos into one, and then you're done. You can use Handbrake to turn the video into a video format your PC supports. I have several other TC satellite loops I have yet to upload and they don't include the track. To do that you have to click the dot and toggle the system tracks off and wait for the notification thing at the top of the screen to go away before screenshotting, then toggle it on again and move forward 10 minutes, click the dot and toggle it off and screenshot again - this process takes longer than with the system tracks on.
