I used it on a project I had going on it doesn’t leave a normal awlgrip gloss to it and I use it as intended. The orange peel it leaves behind us a lot worse than rolling and tipping. I prefer to roll and tip as it leaves a glossy smooth finish. I don’t recommend it just not for awlgrip. My finish with roll and tips was alot better than adding the additive just rolling and rolling at tipping my experience tho. Maybe it will be better to others who can’t get a good roll and tip finish.

Foam rollers from home depot

Thanks for that question, I had to do a slight modification to the wagna nozzel in order to spray the nonskid particles. Just use the tip of a solder gun and slightly open up the tip. Go through my videos I did a video on that. I'll try to send you the link.

If it's a hard finish surface it should work. Sand it with 320 grit sandpaper. Then wipe down the surface with mineral spirits. Use a clean rag. Then apply the varnish. Please subscribe and watch my other videos

Also Total boat lust varnish comes in high gloss and also satin or Matt finish. If you want a flat non shine finish you should use the satin. If you like gloss then use gloss.

@kennysyachtmaintenance Thanks. I found Lorna Freeman song "Me'Ow," but I can't find the other song. Maybe it's not even John Gotti. It's funny about the next-door lady being mad that her neighbor stole her pipe or wood. Something like that & going over to get it. Sexual innuendo story like calypso has. @kennysyachtmaintenance I did already. I used to clean the go to yachts at Crown Bay Marina. The ones people rent. Not the ones in the slips, but on the side when you first right turn into going into the Marina.

Total boat has a wipe down solvent as well. It's a wax remover and cleaner. You can use any one before painting. Total boat cleaner, Awlgrip wipe down solvent. Or alexseal . They all do the same thing. Use clean rags. And a tack rag before painting

What are you using the mineral spirits for?

I use mineral spirits to wipe down oil base products like varnish before refinishing. For Awlgrip painting we use Awlgrip wax remover and Awlgrip wipe down solvent.
