Classic Motorcycle Racing at Croft Circuit: MAN, WOMAN & MACHINE [Day 2]
We really hope you enjoy Classic Motorcycle Racing at Croft Circuit [Day 2] as we try to capture the essence of the day as it unfolds. Come along for the ride.
Suday was just as fuabuloso as Saturday was with the Classic Motorcycle Racing Club.
We enjoyed every part of the day, the racing, the people all coming together to make a great day out.
Learning to video fast moving motorcycles is still a challenge, but its improving all the time. The difficulty is the zoom lens, which I was using on a pretty basic monopod when I should have taken the better one, but which is much heavier. What I mean is actually the stabilisation and tracking of a fast motorcycle at 200 mm. I'm now using a monitor, which will make life a whole lot easier.
EQUIPMENT
Camera: Canon 90D APSC, Canon M50, GOPro 8
Lenses: Canon 18mm-55mm and the 55mm-250mm basic stock kit lenses, but both have IS, which I am going to exploit to their fullest potential. Sadly, I dropped and smashed the 18-55 :( I couldn't believe it, luckily, Lizzie has a spare, as it's the main go to lens. On the APSC, it actually has focal lengths of 28mm to 88mm, and the aperture of 3.5 to 5.6 is pretty cool.
Experimenting with a 90 degree or even 45 degree shutter angle with a frame rate of 24 fps is in itself quite challenging, and an NDF filter outside is so important for not blowing out the footage, and a CPL filter is great for the sky and close ups on the bikes.
Again I'm still experimenting.
All editing is done in Davinci Resolve 18.6

My husband has a Royal Enfield interceptor it is the one with the white tank and red one. He had someone make him something that screwed on to the side stand to make the lean less. They are great bikes he is very happy with his. The nicer weather is coming, so even more reasons to get out and ride. 🤞

as you've installed shorter rear shocks, have you considered sliding the yokes down an inch too... might also help with the flat-footing!

I have three vests for my Harley and one of them i specifically used E6000 glue and I just marked the area around the patch and roughed the leather up a bit with some grit paper and it has held so strong but you have to be very careful not to put to much because the glue will ooze out of the sides and looks like crap and it’s a bit tough to get off but If you do hapoen to have it come out of the sides some tweezers will peel it off nicely just do it within the first 24 hours. Cheap glue and it works good so hope this helps someone out there!

Hi there! I'm an avid bike camper, just to say the 'Blackout' feature in a tent is a game changer! Yes does add a little weight but it stays a bit darker for longer but also because of the thicker material they use to black it out it actually keeps the inside cooler! Coleman tents invented the 'Blackout' feature and having owned one of these they offer the best blackout style. Other tents who offer blackout rooms use a lesser dense material!? Hope that makes sense, if not tell me to shut up or let me know 😂 🏍️
One more hopefully helpful thing, when you roll the tent up at the end, roll it towards the door end so all the trapped air can escape easier, 🤟
