Higher Education Minister Unveils NOAS Selection Data for Non-School Leavers and Grade 12 Students
NOAS Selection Data for Non-School Leavers and Grade 12 Students: Applications from both Grade 12 school leavers and non-school leavers are now integrated into the National Online Selection System. This software ensures fair and unbiased selections based on requirements set by institutional selection committees. Key statistics for 2025 include 3,640 Grade 12 applicants and 2,268 non-school leaver applicants from 235 secondary schools. A total of 314 academic programs are available. For the first time, successful non-school leaver applicants will be eligible for government scholarships. The increased 2025 TESAS budget, thanks to the Marape-Rosso government, supports this initiative. This merit-based system enriches Papua New Guinea's knowledge economy, empowering youth and fostering a future defined by excellence and inclusivity.

Students will STILL do exams, but exam results will NOT BE USE AS 'FILTER' for selection into Gr 9 and 11. There's confusing messages, not one know how effective it's going to be.
