Can you guys do one on Robotics engineering.
Mechanical engineering please
Hi, is there a deep dive into mechanical engineering video?
Hi, thank you so much for your videos, they are very informative! My son is a junior in hs and interested in mechanical engineering. Here are some schools that he is considering: - The University of Alabama - University of Illinois Chicago - Milwaukee School of Engineering We would really appreciate videos on these schools. Thank you!
Thank you for all your videos! Have you done a deep dive on the University of New Mexico’s engineering program?
Nuclear Engineering please
The Nuclear Engineering video just posted! Let us know if you have any questions about the content.
@@BridgingTheGapStudent2Engineer thanks! Ck your recording at 1:15 min and around 3 min marks for places to edit.
What about a deep dive into chemical engineering programs? The best ones. The most affordable.
The Discipline Deep Dive into Chemical Engineering was just posted! ua-cam.com/video/W15HsLDcIxY/v-deo.html The best schools are the ones with the highest likelihood of student success, which means great positive student outcomes in industries your student is interested in. The most affordable school for each student has so many variables that we can't make recommendations for the most affordable schools. For more students, their state school system will be the most affordable. However, you shouldn't eliminate private schools and other state schools that give significant merit aid.
You're doing a good job. Tnx
It's my pleasure
Can you provide a deep dive into biomedical engineering and the differences between schools.
Sure! Are there specific schools you are looking at, or would you like to see a general review of the major and options?
Thank you for this video. I wished to see the percentage of the students get into internships and co-ops during college
I wish that data was available, too! Not very many schools share it.
Thank you for creating this video. My son committed to U of Toledo that has 3 co-ops as part of its engineering program. School seems like it will be a good fit.
That sounds great! Thank you for letting us know.
Hi, this channle is a must-have for Engineering-bound students. I'd appreciate if you add CMU and UPenn Engineering.
Thank you for the compliment! I hope to help as many students as possible! The UPenn video has just been posted: ua-cam.com/video/sNbr3QUFxfg/v-deo.html CMU is next up. Look for it soon.
@@BridgingTheGapStudent2Engineer Amazing! I will have my son watch it.
So amazingly helpful. Tysm! Wish I had watched sooner but this helps.
Glad it was helpful!
Very helpful!! Thank you for this info. Didn't realize that this data was available.
Glad it was helpful!
I had difficulty with how the outcome data is presented, as engineering and college student data are combined. Your overview and insights are spot on, as usual! Thank you again.
I agree that the data being presented all together without being able to separate it really makes it hard to compare to other schools. I'm happy to hear that you appreciated the video! I hope that it helps with your student's decisions.
can you do one on Georgia Tech?
I'll add it to my list! Look out for a video this weekend or next.

I can't tell you how much it helps to see outcome data presented this way. May I request a deep dive of Columbia University engineering? My student is deciding between University of Michigan and Columbia.

Thank you for the video! Being new to engineering field and not knowing much, do you have any suggestions as to what to look for when looking at the different companies that come to job fairs? As my son and I tour schools, many of them list companies that will come to campus, but they don’t really mean anything to us because I don’t know which companies would be hiring chemical engineers or exactly what they would be doing. I’ve tried looking on the companies website and sometimes that isn’t very helpful either. Also, to your point about looking at what is near the school to see what type of focus a particular major might have, how do you suggest determining if the school focuses on a specific area in chemical engineering, for example? Do you have any suggestions?
You've asked some great questions! For a person without a lot of knowledge, it is more immediately helpful for the schools to share industries rather than employers, but that is often not what they share. Ask the school what industries and what companies hire their Chemical Engineering students and grads. If you have direct contact with any of the employers, ask them if they hire chemical engineers and what roles they fill. Chemical engineers are typically hired for a variety of roles in managing processes, which may or may not be manufacturing processes. If you're interested, let me know what schools you're considering and I will do some research for you.
@@BridgingTheGapStudent2Engineer That is very helpful. We will start asking those questions. The schools my son is considering are Case Western Reserve, WPI, and RPI. Thank you!
Case Western video just posted ua-cam.com/video/9_gSnVUCbq4/v-deo.htmlsi=fBkvzcu85nGDlYDw I'm working on the others! Subscribe to get a notification when they're posted.
Absolutely appreciate the last 5-10 minutes of this video we’re at the acceptance stage and revisiting stage for computer engineering and you brought up great questions that I’ll research and hopefully have the time to do so
Thank you for leaving feedback about the video. Let me know if I can do some more research for you to help with those last few things.

Just watched! This is excellent information; thank you! I see you included IUPUI, even though that school is now defunct, and as of July will be Purdue at Indianapolis. I’m very curious what you think of what is *supposed* to be “exactly the same standards and opportunities,” and therefore outcomes as West Lafayette. It just seems there’s no way to know, and we hesitate to be the inaugural class…but they admitted student day was pretty convincing…. What is telling to me is they were really trying to imply that IUPUI was already a very similar caliber program; just not in name, but your statistics do not seem to bear that out. The real dilemma we have is he has basically a full ride in tuition at our in-state University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. I would love to see a deep dive on that! My son is planning to go into robotics. He is admitted to Computer Engineering at Purdue Indianapolis (it is direct admit in Indy), and Electrical Engineering in Louisville. Thanks!!
Like you, I hesitate to believe that Purdue Indy is going to be the same as Purdue West Lafayette, especially since they're trying to do the same thing at Purdue Northwest at the same time. Being in the inaugural class means being there to work through the kinks and test the waters. As a Purdue alum, I know the great diversity of programs they offer at Purdue West Lafayette. I can't imagine being able to stand up Engineering Projects in Community Service and Engineers without Borders and Solar Car team and so many other things all at the same time! I'll do some research into University of Louisville for you but right now I'd say that if the outcomes at Louisville are good, that is going to be a very good option for your student! (p.s. I've worked in Kentucky and have seen so many great opportunities for engineers all over the state)
@@BridgingTheGapStudent2Engineer In all the things I’ve read about Purdue Indy, and at the admitted student day (Purdue For Me) in Indy I’ve never heard anything about an attempt to make Northwest also on par with West Lafayette. Where are you hearing this? That’s rather distressing if that’s happening because talk about a split focus! My son is interested in robotics and the LARRI Lab at University of Louisville sold him on the campus-that and they offered him even more money after the initial award 😎. I just feel like there’s going to be a lot of families with buyer’s remorse about Indy, at least in the first couple of years. if he decides he wants the prestigious name on his résumé he can just get a second masters degree at Purdue West Lafayette (or Indy if it works out) after the five-year BS/MS program at Louisville. 💜
Like you, I've heard that Purdue University in Indianapolis is being considered an extension of the main campus in West Lafayette rather than a regional campus such as Northwest and Fort Wayne. A friend who works within the University confirmed this and referred me to someone who I'm reaching out to for more information.
This is so helpful. I am thankful we found your information. My son is deciding between Texas A&M Engineering and Colorado School of Mines. I would be so thankful if you could do a deep dive of Texas A&M. The engineering school was just ranked #7 in 9/23.

Thank you for this! I am interested in learning the practical differences between internships and co-ops.
Thank you for the feedback! This is a great question. Sometimes, they appear on the surface to be the same and not all school programs are created equal. I'll put together some thoughts and make a video comparing the two.
Thank you! Your videos are really helpful.@@BridgingTheGapStudent2Engineer
