Antique Tractors - which oils work best?
Переглядів 5914 днів тому
Short and to the point, here is what I use for fluids in my antique tractors. Same advice goes for all tractors over 60 years old! Cockshutt, Oliver, Massey, Farmall, McCormick, Case, John Deere, Ford, they all want this Dino juice ( engine oil and gear oil) Remember, 15w40 in the front, 80w90 in the back!

MANITOBA'S BEST Kept Secret is Hiding at the Agricultural Museum!
Good tip and fine-looking Farmall tractor!
Thank you!
I think I've seen one before
..I just have to get to more shows next summer..
Yes sir you do!!
smart
Do you normally just sand what you can or do you sandblast as well ? You do an excellent job on these tractors. Thank you.
Thank you! I usually just get in everywhere I can with a wire brush on a die grinder. I don't sand blast because it makes such a mess. If you've got a good spot to blast it would probably be better than what I do :). I just try to make sure I get in and get the rust/dirt out of every nook and cranny I can find.
@@billstractorcorner You do a great job. I’ll just try the same as you.
@@Redhacklebest of luck- what are you working on?
Hoyt-Clagwell
thank you
Wow. Impressive.
Great channel new here. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying my little videos :)
For ultra-flat fields ONLY! What a strange design...
@@oryjen1 prairie typically is flat...
You should see my "prairies" here in french mountains... Therefore I own an F137D!
Going up I understand but getting off you gonna wreck tractor
Lol, no not even close. Very easy, watch: ua-cam.com/video/UhSdygdf0Z0/v-deo.htmlsi=Py2NkMjsukHCCcZW
Can’t you back up?
No, you'd run into the ramps to turn enough to get the front wheels on
If you don't need bucket tasks and just want to lift things, just get a 3 point "pig pole" on the back. I've moved a soda pop machine with mine among other regular things. Much cheaper than a loader.
@@jvin248 yup, can be. I like having both options.
Great job. Thank you 😊
Awesome video and..... That's a beautiful tractor
Thank you!! I love my Farmall H :)
Thanks so much, Octuber 25 2024 I did it and it worked, you helped me a lot bro😎
Ford Explorer 2024
Excellent! Glad it helped, thanks for letting me know!!
I'm almost positive that your trailer doesn't come up to half of the front tire height. I wouldn't doubt you could just drive that straight onto that trailer with the back tires lined up with the ramps once the front tire is on.
Nah.
@@billstractorcornercool
Ima use this trick on fs22 so it makes my life easier to load my John Deere onto the trailers
Very nice to see young people so interested in old equipment
Well done. I would have backed onto the trailer, but your option is better.
This trailer is too short to back on and get your front wheels over, you'll be into the fenders with the rear tires. But a longer trailer, yes, that might work!
me and my sleepy brain almost wanted asked why dont't you reverse onto the trailer :)
Nice ! I'll drive the H
You made that look so easy!
That was stupid easy lol
It absolutely is! But when you're looking at it in person it seems like magic lol.
Or you could move one ramp to the middle and when front tire gets on trailer move it back . Then ramps will be in position for both rear wheels
Please watch this video for a response to your comment: ua-cam.com/video/RXCbCI3_UtE/v-deo.htmlsi=BOB3jd_E0uocB_Jp
If it's not RED leave it in the shed!!!
Hell yeah brother! Farmall/IH are my favorite but I've also got a love for orange. And somehow I wound up with a couple ford's lol.
I thought you were going to pop a wheelie.
You and many others lol
I thought you were going to pull a ATC (All Terrain Cycle, or 3 wheeler quad) and pop a wheelie onto the trailer. lol
0:49 start here, 10 next seconds, that’s all you need 😅
But the rest of the journey to get there was worth it!
I only wish you could have gotten a hold of the one my dad had, it was a 1913 Farmall, unfortunately the engine block cracked 😢 great video!
It would have had to be at least 1923 if it was a Farmall, the first few Farmall Regulars were made in 1923 with general availability in 1924. I'd love to have gotten my hands on it and made it live again :)
@@billstractorcorner sorry, just saw that I fat fingered the tiny keyboard on the phone...1923
Mind blown
Done that a few times. Many hours spent on the M's and a H tractor.
I'd love to have an M. I guess my w6 is almost the same thing but I'd love to have the rowcrop
Just back it on
Nope. That would be harder on my fenders than Kamala is going to be on your economy. ua-cam.com/video/UhSdygdf0Z0/v-deo.htmlsi=k63_JgT7sbZi_KEQ
Bring er back! Very good old tractor.
I'll do my best sir!
Impressive. Hope I never have to do that, but if I do, I now know how. Thanks
man you doing it the boring way put a couple brikes on the back and do it witht he nose in the sky man!
i thought you were gonna just back it up.
Nah, backing on isn't possible, can't turn to get the front on ramps without running into the fenders.
I just put the trailer under the tractor.
Whelp today i learnt if you dont know a thing beforehand, it makes you look dumb haha, honestly though thats a really elegant solution
That’s the easy part show me taking it down
@markgeater3036 sure, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/UhSdygdf0Z0/v-deo.html
@@markgeater3036 as well as ua-cam.com/video/RXCbCI3_UtE/v-deo.html
I have loaded them backwards that way too. When you got two tricycle tractors tractors to haul and only 25’ trailer you got to offset them.
@@erikbarbee3907 yup, I'd love to have one that long! The 16' there's no room for any of those shenanigans
What a dumb comment
I have it and I watch a video thank you so much guys. It’s worked perfectly thank you.
I'm glad it worked for you! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know :)
That's how I do it.
Looks easy doesn’t it
Huh. Something I never asked, but it's way easier than it looks.
Yup it's not hard but it's not always something people realize without being shown either.
