It looks to be in fairly one piece . Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks. Luckily you didn't have the tires on it

Luckily my rear tires were outside leaning on the shop and they weren't damaged! The front tires, which were also brand new, were inside and burned. Although the tractor isn't covered, I'm going to hope to get them included under my $2k of "auto parts" coverage as they were parts waiting to be used, not part of the tractor at that point. We'll see how that goes.

Ok update on what worked for. I tried the wire with no success then I ordered a semi-rigid endoscope camera on Amazon for $25. This allowed me to see what I was doing but it would get stuck on an edge or lip right at the rollover valve. I then bought 3’ of 15/32 hose from AutoZone and used this to feed the camera thru. Using this method I could see the hose was right over the valve and I used the hose to release the valve. I heard an audible click when the valve released. I hope this helps some of you guys.

Thanks for sharing a bit more of what happened after the other post. We won't give up on you take time and figure it out you'll be back bigger and better, I'd hoped to see this one at Killarney this year. I'll be honest after buying a super Major that went through a barn fire, sad as it still is the old girl looks like it survived better than I thought it would. I guess there is going to be another tractor named Phoenix around. There was no coming back for the Major only a few parts, it got so hot it even melted the white metal bearings on the crankshaft, and stove baked paint on some tin so bad my buddy couldn't get it off when he repaired it for his project. The owners of that one left it in the old barn and came home to the fire department, a bit of ash and what was left of the tractor sitting where they parked it, apparently that was quite the surprise ! Take care

What's the difference between running the sensing wire back to the battery and shorting it out to the red battery cable, if the red is going back to the battery anyway?

    • @billstractorcorner
