    Whats the point of this grinder. My 7 inch grinder works just as good if not better. And it only take one cupwheel. So whats tge real benefit. Its just more money. The only benefit i see is your pockets by tge profit you make on every sale. Other than that i dont see how this helps out tge polishing industry.

    Quick question for you guys; The epoxy that's being removed in this video, is it 2 component 100% solids epoxy? And if so, how thick was laid (neat floor @ say basecoat 10-12 mils + 4 mils for urethane or is it more like metallics where you add another 30 mils on top of that 14-16 mils) Thank you guys, I'm looking and trying to figure out what is the best grinder for me to purchase in the hopefully very near future. Also, what vacuum or dust collection are you using in this video?

    Thanks for answering my question on when to use bushing hammer tooling. Next time can you do a shot in the video from low/side angle with bright lighting to get a better idea of the texture of the finish product? Thanks

    • @newgrind292
      @newgrind292 2 роки тому

      Can do! The bush hammers are interesting because you can control how aggressive the final texture is. If you do just 1-2 passes, the result will be like a flamed granite finish, and the more passes you do, the rougher/more aggressive the finish will be.

    • @seanknapp2662

      @@newgrind292 awesome! Thanks for the info. This type of finish is something I'm very interested in achieving outdoors followed by a high quality sealer. I will be attending a demo put on by one of your reps on Sept 22nd in Peoria IL. Could you please touch base with whoever that is and have them bring the bushing hammers to either demo or look at? I'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks so much for this video. Have an epoxy removal replaced with a metallic coming up. Just bought your RS150 a few months ago and was wondering if my 16 shark tooth would work for the removal..... thankfully I bought PCDs when I purchased everything. Please keep these videos coming. They are extremely helpful to someone who just purchased your equipment, absolutely loves it and will be using it for years to come. One question is when would you use bush hammers?

    • @newgrind292
      @newgrind292 2 роки тому

      Thanks, let us know any suggestions you have for other videos you would like to see too! Bush Hammers are great for removing a lot of concrete and getting down to large aggregate, and they're phenomenal at resurfacing old, spalled/damaged concrete to create a non-slip surface. That will be our next video coming out on Tuesday

    Why not a hose adapter at the bottom?

    • @newgrind292
      @newgrind292 2 роки тому

      Good question. Since many contractors don't have access to a water feed close enough to run a hose, we are developing a water tank/sprayer system for these machines instead of having a hose connection.

  • @seanknapp2662

    I just purchased RS150 today. So if I want to refinish hardwood the last grit is 80? That seems pretty coarse to me?

      How has the 150 been doing for you so far? Review?

    • @seanknapp2662
      @seanknapp2662 2 роки тому

      @@jean7000 it's a quality machine. Been using it to profile for epoxy. It's the smallest one they have so it does take longer, but I wanted to try their product before going all in with a huge machine. That being said, I am demo-ing a 500 next week. Pry gonna get it and keep the 150 for edging large jobs. I also got the 150 so I could do basements. The "twice the amount of tooling" on the floor is genius. So.... couldn't be happier.

      Top Coat is not always necessary but is a great option when you require more stain protectin on the finished floor. The shine achieved in the concrete itself, so you do not need the Top Coat to make the floor shiny

    Are these just repackaged Werkmasters or something entirely different? This big machine actually looks like it would be a good grinder compared to the Werkmaster junk Ive seen and had demo'd on one of our jobs. We were grinding cement based terrazzo and a rep from werkmaster came out with their 2nd to largest machine and it was a joke. It couldnt grind worth a crap. Ive been using Terrco and PrepMaster machines for the past 18 years and still havent found anything that can outgrind them. Ive owned HTC800 (worthless machine for grinding but good polisher) Husqvarna 820 (very good planetary machine for both grinding and polishing) but still nothing has shown to be able to touch my Terrco 3100 or PrepMaster 3030's as far as overall grinding performance. Polishing can be done with any machine out there, but doing serious grinding and prep work is an entirely different ball game This machine in video actually looks burly enough that it could possibly be a contender? over 1200 lbs with stationary counter rotating heads should make for some serious grinding work I would imagine.

    • @newgrind292
      @newgrind292 6 років тому

      Our equipment was designed by Owen Rogers, NewGrind's president, who has decades of experience, so although the shape is comparable to that of a Werkmaster machine the similarities end there. We are 100% confident our grinders can out prep other machines on the market. Not sure where abouts you are located, but If you're ever in the Vancouver area please give us a call and come by for a demo.
