Hello Tran, the Ishihara is what we call 'functionally obsolete', which means it works, but not as well as the HRR. Specifically, the Ishihara does not test for congenital color vision loss. Also, because it uses only one number per plate, it can be memorized. The HRR uses symbols placed in quadrants, so that the test can be rotated to prevent memorization. I was required by a vendor,they want their employees to switch the ishihata to HRR method . Your explanation was super helpful . Now I know why they wanted to change . So where is a better source to buy the book ?
