I met Doris Jean at Evergreen, the hospice unit at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pa., while care giving for my mother, Elaine Miller. I thank God for his mercy and wisdom in bringing Doris Jean, my mother Elaine, and my sister Susan and me there during their end-of-life journeys. The care and comfort shown by the hospice team there is like no other and we feel blessed to be able to share the care giving of our loved one with them. Doris Jean became like family to my sister and me in the short time we came to know her there. She delighted us with her endearing smile and caring personality that drew us to love her. She reintroduced us to puzzling and we helped her finish several. The last one, however, still remains undone and we find the will to finish it daunting without her. However, we will make a concerted effort to complete it in her honor. Our condolences to Greg and his family in their loss of this beautiful life. Our thoughts and prayers will continue for all of them as they grieve and try to find solace in the days ahead. May Christ grant his peace to each one. Cindy Z
