@@spacethug2153 It's funny that you talk about maturity, meanwhile, you gripe about some criticism on some slowed/verbed bs. Every single piece of art is subject to scrutiny. Your "if you don't have anything nice to say" rhetoric is antithetical to any subjectivity that comes with being exposed to art. That subjectivity naturally transforms into criticism, something that can be positive, neutral, or negative. Listening to this piece that I know took you 5-10 minutes to slow, add reverb, and add some gloomy backdrop, resulted in my being critical of the whole "slowed and reverbed" genre. I am all for some form of "dadaism" in art, but I feel like this is simply lazy. And it's not like you pioneered this concept; there's tons of this drivel on the internet and there's nothing novel about it. What I am trying to say is, as an artist, you are going to need to learn how to simply let criticism of your works just exist in the same space as your works, instead of giving people some Aesop morality bullshit when it has no place in the consumption of art.

@@walktheplanck7490 I'll actually indulge you, you're not the petulant 12 year old I assumed. You seem to have a bit of understanding. Your lack of understanding my process is fair considering most people just use software and phone it in for a tiktok; however I took a lot more than 5 minutes. I actually put the track to tape and ran it through various reverb hardware (the mooer ocean machine is fantastic for shimmering stereo reverb) as a general experiment because I like the song, process, and genre. It actually took a few hours of tinkering to just get the reverb clear but still deep. Disdain for a piece is not a call to be rude to the artist. If you don't understand that, then that's your problem. Critique is more than an offhand comment that you think is going to go unnoticed. If you genuinely don't want more of this kind of music - don't engage with it. By commenting you've told the UA-cam algorithms that this content is worth engaging with.
