Thanks for the great video! Great point that it's a private bath and not a private hot spring in your room. Can you suggest a place in Hoken that has a private onsen and family friendly (in other words, allows my baby).

I'm really surprised by this video. Maybe it's the lighting or the camera settings, or something, but thie Keio Plaza Hotel shown in this video just doesn't seem to square with the generally good reviews left by guests. It looks so... institutional... beige... bland... Muzak. Starting with that dingy, tired concrete exterior and the monotonous facade. Where's the entrance? The lobby looks like a 1970's shopping mall, cavernous and claustrophobic at the same time. It's like a mausoleum. The room seems cold and clinical, like an operating room. Everything organized and lined up, hospital fashion.

We are staying here now, as tourists from New Zealand with a young family of 4. I am very impressed with how clean and high quality the rooms are. Having stayed at 8 hotels on your trip through Japan/Korea this is a top pick and 100% recommended. Directly outside are hundreds of restaurants and stores for shopping and walking around. 👍

Privacy is key to the hotel. My first stay was in 1979, and today after the second big refurbishment the brown/red floor tailing in the lobby and all walkways in the three room gardens are the same as when the hotel was built. The even remodeled the rooms to keep the original feeling. Love the place even though it has moved to a cost level that hurt my budget a bit too much.

Hi there! I can't seem to find this Hyatt Regency in Osaka. I only see the Hyatt Regency Kyoto and the only other Hyatt hotel I see on the Hyatt website in Osaka is the new Caption hotel. I stayed in both Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency in September. Compared with PH, Regency is surely old and plain, but still comfortable. I was upgraded to next level room with good view over the Shinjuku Park (?) . I tried Tapayaki in the hotel, and the taste is average but kind of expensive. It still takes some time to walk to the metro station. Oh, the 7/11 continence store on B1 is quite good.

How much did it cost you? I am about to book japan but suprised at how high the rates have become

This is our go to hotel almost every time we visited Tokyo. It is one from few other hotels in Shinjuku that served by airport limousine bus so its very convenient. Its just 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku station and easy access to many destinations in Shinjuku area

Yes, it's definitely not in a par with its Hyatt brand reputation.

Oh this is the best hotel in Hongdae area! I really love this hotel since it was built. "L7 hongdae" near here(like Keio and hyatt in shinjuku) is also good hotel. Frankly speaking, hongdae is more preferable spot for local residents more than Myungdong-where is known only for tourists zone in Korea. Next time if you can visit Korea, I would also recommend "Glad Mapo"(reasonable price, perfect location to both airport and hot spots), "Grand Hyatt Seoul"(han river side view), "L'escape hotel"(very unique!! concept) and "Josun palace Gangnam"(the most luxurious hotel in KR) 😊

As a traveler(planning to visit shibuya, daikanyama, kitchijoji, asakusa etc) I'm still considering to stay Keio plaza or hyatt regency..(or somewhere else in Shibuya). Which one do you recommend more? If we stay at hyatt, we will reserve renovated deluxe room. Could you please recommend among them? I'm also considering hyatt 1 night+keio 2 nights but it seems quite a waste of time to get back to hotel for second check-in😂

I stayed there with my families on the 38th floor for a few days in Autumn 1975 before we went to Osaka then to Okinawa to see World Expo '75.

I’ll be in this hotel this coming friday, for a 15k points redemption, not bad…but I’m just staying 1 night, as my trip will continue on the hakone, then osaka…
