    I don’t know if my Jeep would make that trip. I have this weird random CEL I’ve been chasing that goes off randomly at highway speeds. Triggers a CS position sensor and knocks out cruise until I shut it off and back on. Fun fact: There is a bridge over that river in WV they shut down once a year for skydivers to jump off of 🤙🏼. Good stuff brother! I’ve enjoyed watching the tear down of the old one and swapping things over to the 4 door! Informative and educational. Thanks!! Edit/: you don’t foresee any issues running the stock PS pump on the hydro assist?

    • @gofourlow
      @gofourlow 5 місяців тому

      Thank you for the support! It’s not “ideal” the full kit is definitely a better option if it’s in your budget. The sector shaft is the weakest point but with the assist it takes a lot of the load off of the stock box. I would like to add a cooler for sure to keep the temps down. It’s a lot slower steering than what you would have with a full kit, bigger pump and all the goodies, With that being said, I ran this same set up on my two door jk for 3 years with zero issues.

    I mounted my compressor under the drivers seat (subwoofer under passenger) because I did not have room under the hood as I upgraded the brake master cylinder to eliminate the squishy brakes from the one ton swap.

    • @gofourlow
      @gofourlow 7 місяців тому

      I will be doing the J8 upgrade if I ever get it hahah hopefully the mount works still with the new booster since all of my airlines and solenoids are ran now but I won’t be heartbroken if it doesn’t. I’ll move it somewhere else.

    • @usndeepsea
      @usndeepsea 7 місяців тому

      Start planing on moving it now. With the J8 kit it definitely won’t work with your compressor mounted there. I used the one from Rockauto (pn: 13063070) that War Paint Off-road mentions in his video. My brakes work flawlessly. Much cheaper than the J8 kit and you can get it in a couple of days.

    If you use the front holes you won’t have full steering. The distance from the center of the balljoint to the center of that mounting hole is more than the pitman arm and won’t allow you to have full steering.

    • @gofourlow
      @gofourlow 9 місяців тому

      I didn’t realize that! Thank you! I will get some more bolts and get the drag link switched to the back hole! I do have a gap in between the factory stops on the knuckles so there’s room for more steering angle which would be great. Turning radius is terrible compared to my two door lol
