Fantastic video thankyou for sharing 👍
thank you so much for this video!
Whenever I think about all of the teachers I've had, the ones that stick out most to me were the ones that had a sense of humour not just for the impact they had on me, but the impact they had on others where other teachers didn't. In my opinion having a good sense of humour and interacting well with the students is the most effective way of getting their attention and respect which means they're likely to do better and just work more. Obviously you'll still get the massively stubborn students where seemingly no matter what they just don't give a shit, but even then the best teachers won't be too intensely harsh on them, they would try and do some digging to see and understand what makes them like that and see what can be done to help. Pushing away students due to their poor attitude without making any attempt to help them is too negative and could almost be seen as toxic.
Hi Pooky, I took courses online in your website but could not access my account. Who can I contact for help/support ( sorry, this is the only way I found to reach you)
I agree with the kids but shame about the lack of diversity. Only white students??
Someone desperately needs to look at sound balance on this video 😕
Great program
Great resource!
Great resource to motivate students.
Thank you for this resource. it definitely helps in the classroom.
Thank you
In this video, we see diferents students speaking about which qualities should have the best teacher. On the one hand, i like some of this opinions but certainly i think a little bit different about others. In my personal opinion i think that the teacher's job has a lot of invisible difficulties that not explain in a video. On the other hand i think that is a good video for resume fastly which are de most basicly qualities that must have a good teacher.
In the video we can see different students who talk about how a good teacher should be. In my opinion I think everything they say is fine but there are many more things which make you a good teacher. A teacher has to like what he does because it is a profession with a lot of responsibility and very beautiful to live. For me, the most important quality that a teacher must have is to be a good communicator and to have a good relationship with the students.
In my opinion not everyone have the ability or what it takes to be a good teacher. A good teacher has to have all that things that this students are saying, he or she has to have passion for his/her job and his/her students, has to have a purpose, has to want the best for his students and know how to adapt to them...
I totally agree with what these students said, because a good teacher is the one who knows how to connect with their pupils by comunicating in a empathic way, understanding and listening what their students want to learn, the way they want to work...etc. I personally believe that a good teacher always know how to inspire his/her class and know how to maintaine a balance between teaching and having fun!
First girl says that a good teacher is “someone who’s got a sense of humor as well because if you’re willing to have a laugh with your students then like you’re going to earn their respect, so they’re more likely to listen to what you say”. Well, it’s true that a sense of humor always attracts public, but I desagrre with idea that “you will earn their respect”, because if you abuse it about this, it may cause the opposite effect.
In my opinion, a good teacher knows each student's needs and organizes the class accordingly. I believe that teachers have to look at themselves objectively and see where they can improve in order to give guidance and inspiration. Since with the time, teaching becomes a routine, I think it is important to show passion so that the learning process becomes interesting. Definitely, I think that teachers have to earn their students respect, but they also have to be approachable and possess good listening skills so students know they can go to talk to them about any problems they have.
The most important thing to be a good teacher is to have empathy and a vocation for your work. Once you have these skills, all the work you do is much better. The video calls for very important skills, such as enthusiasm, respect, or kindness.
In this video the students are explaining what a good teacher should do in the class. From my point of view, a good teach should be firm, confident and what they are teaching, they also have to be good communicators and they have to be approachable to the students. Teachers have to be strict but they also have to make their lessons fun to make sure all the students are involved in the classroom. A lot of teachers know the subject they are talking about but they do not know how to communicated to the students. Being able to express what you say and make sure the sudents understand it too is the most important thing to be a good teacher.
There are a lot of qualities that make a good teacher. I think that a good teacher has to be willing to keep learning new things every day. Also, I agree with all of them that a great teacher should be enthusiastic, kind, inspirational, a good communicator, helpful, committed… Being a good teacher implies many things, but the most important characteristic to be a good teacher is wanting to be one and working in a vocational way.
After watching the video, I agree with them about how be a good teacher. To be a good teacher means being kind to students but not neglecting responsibilities, this causes students to be more willing to work on the subject. In addition, it is important that a teacher has a good attitude toward students to improve the student-teacher relationship; as well as being able to make their subject matter inspiring to children and not just to explain it. These, from my point of view, are the three key points to being a good teacher.
Being a good teacher is a about listening your students, knowing them and adjust every aspect of your teaching depending on what they need.
From my point of view, a good teacher is a person who enjoys with his/her job. Nevertheless, there are some qualities that they might have. On the one hand, they have to be respectful with their students, but, even so, the teacher has to be friendly and it’s very important to have a personal involvement with every learner. On the other hand, he/she needs to be a good communicator and, in addition, is very useful to gain on his/her students by being so enthusiastic.
In this video some students give some qualities that they think that the best teachers should have. These opinions can be used by us to train professionally as a future teachers. Education is based on a student-teacher relationship. Therefore, pupils expect something from teachers. In addition to teaching content, the teacher must play the role of guide and direct his students towards a correct development, which is achieved through the incorporation of values in teaching.
I believe that a good teacher is someone who cares about the students. It is someone who can be respected by the children, and also, at the same time, can be empatheticand understanding with them. The teacher should be someone who belives in all their students and learns about them. In the future, I would like to be this kind of teacher. I want to be someone trustfull and understanding with all my students. Someone who belives in them and try to emphasize the strong points and get better the others.
After watching this video, I can say that I agree with a lot of qualities that these students have mentioned. In special, I think that teachers must have the ability to motivate his students, in the same way that they have to listen to them and communicate properly, giving the best of them and explaining all the doubts that their students may have. Furthermore, teachers would have the ability to develop the capacities of their pupils.
Nowadays, begin a teacher is much more than teaching everything you know about the subject, but what really matters is having a balance between knowleagde and skills. We have all been students and we have fixed on the empathetic, entusiastic teacher, that is, all those skills where the focus is on the students. That is why as future teacher we must find this balace, to get to know our students and help them understand the topics to be taught
One thing one student say in the video is the importance of listening. I had some teachers who didn't hear their students. When I say listen I refer to know about her students, to understand they need the capacity to recognise what feelings they are feeling. If you are a teacher who do your job without connect with the class, you are not completely a teacher.
I personally see eye to eye with almost everything the students said in the video. In particular, I agree with the girl who talked about being passionate about the subject, I think that if the teacher shows interest, the students will perceive that. Another ability that is key for a teacher is the capacity to know how to relate the subject to the context of the students lives. In my opinion, being able to adapt to the circumstances is crucial.
As a future teacher, i believe that it's important to know the students' vision of what a teacher should be, and that's what makes this video so interesting. I agree with them when they say that a teacher should be enthusiastic, inspirational, good comunicator, and much more qualities that i hope to have at the end of my degree.
For me, not everyone is able to be teacher because beyond the knowledge of a subject, as Rick said, a teacher have to be a good communicator and have a good empathy with the students. Because in this way, the lesson will be more productive, in the meaning that the students will remember and learn it, more than a person who only know the subject so well, and don’t know how to explain it in the good way to be attractive for the class. Being eloquent.
I entirely agree with all the adjectives and characteristics mentioned by the video's pupils. But, personally, I think the main quality has to be the passion for the job and also to being able to transmit values and skills to cooperate with other people, communicate correctly and being self-sufficient.
In my opinion being a good teacher is extremely important because is someone who a student will remember and cherish for the rest of their lives. There is a long list of characteristics that a good teacher should have, but for me what is essential is that he must show passion and interest in what he wants to explain. This helps inspire interest in students, who pick up this enthusiasm
There are so many items that could make a person a good teacher. But for me, a good teacher should be a person who is fascinating by what they are doing and so transmit this passion to their students and involve them in the subject. Also, give good communication and motivate the students as they can see you as their inspiration, their guide, it's a very important thing that a teacher should have to become as great at teaching as possible.
I agree with the qualities that describe a good teacher. A good teacher has to know how to teach. You have to go one step further, you have to help your students in what they need and empathize with them.
After watching the video, I'd like to say that I agree with most of the students but I also want to expose that for me the most important characteristic of a good teacher is the dedication. Whether learning more about the subject area, learning new methods of communication or even exploring how to bring more technology into the classroom, i think that continuing to expand your own knowledge is key when it comes to effective teaching. Finally, other aspects that I also find important are being patient, a strong communicator, have the hability to listen well, and being adaptable and egainging.
A good teacher should be interested in the subjects he is teaching, in order to pass this interest to their students. It should also be patient because children may be tiring
As I see it, if someone wants to be a teacher has to be capable for the job, because being a teacher is definitely not an easy task. I agree with the students interviewed about what qualities they think a good teacher requires. However, in my opinion, the most essential quality a good teacher needs is the skill to communicate well.
I agree with the opinions of the pupils. In my opinion a teacher must be very apassionated with his work and he must like his work.
For me, a good teacher has qualities like respect, patience, empathy, etc. Moreover, I think that a great teacher is who believes in diversity and is able to catch the best capacities of each student and can take advantage of them and improve them. Everything to help his/her students as much as possible
After watching the video and opinions of students, I think that the most important thing to be a good teacher is personal involvement and being inspirational with children. By reason to motivate them to learn more in any field.
The teacher is the role model for the students and, therefore, must have the characteristics that he/she wants to transmit to them. You cannot want your students to be patient if you are not patient with them. In relation to the video, I agree with all the students. However, I think the most important characteristic is "being a good communicator" in order to be able to transmit knowledge and skills. Dani Pasamontes Grup 31/ Seminari B
As we know, there are a lot of qualities that make a good teacher, but I want to emphasise one aspect of the video. Most of the students talked about the teacher’s capacity of being firm but also kind and fair. In my opinion, that’s the perfect balance. At the same time the students want to have a good time in class, they recognise that some order is needed to learn the contents properly.
This video shows many students talking about the qualities than a teacher should have. I agree with their opinion, but from my point of view, having a good communication and motivate the students are characteristics that a teacher must have.
I agree with most of the qualities the students mention in the video, but for me, the most important quality a teacher needs, is to know when is the time. Not all students are prepared to learn the same things at the same time. A good teacher has to be able to identify the needs of her students and follow their interests, not try to impose her knowledge, or what she things they want to learn. In the same way the water flows along the river, and changes direction when it founds an obstacle, education shoud flow with the student, not pressuring but guiding.
Being a good teacher requires lots of characteristics, many of them mentioned on the video, like interest, vocation and motivation. But in my opinion, the ability to communicate and being a role model for them are the most important. At the end, pupils will be sharing class with us every single day, and being an inspiration for them is a must.
In this video we see some qualities that must have a good teacher. I agree with the characteristics that these students have said. For me, a good teacher is someone who likes his job and who shows interest in what he is teaching. He also has to be a person before a teacher, that is, he has to know how to put himself in your shoes in any problem.
I totally agree with all the qualities that the students had mentioned. For me, a good teacher is someone who is kind, fair and responsive; someone who cares about students and their feelings and conveys values to them.
I agree with all the opinions of the pupils that appeared in the video. In my opinion, a good teacher has to be motivated, and also make dynamic classes to keep their pupils motivated on the subject. Also, is very important to have a good relation with the students, consequently having a good communication with them.
