Biggest difference I notice is that lack of mufflers, first time I went to Volusia there were all these good seats in the main straight and quickly realised no one sat there because it was way too loud. Personally I hate wearing earplugs, so I prefer the Australian way where it sounds the same, but isn't doing as much hearing damage

Looking forward to being there April 4th for USAC. Gonna be a busy year. We got 9 races on our calender between then and May 22nd. And most the local tracks havent posted their schedules yet. Really curious to see what happens at Putnamville as well.

5:40 You can't have kids in the pits in Austrailia? I know i'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I kind of like that idea. For micro tracks like US24 Speedway in northern Indiana I can understand kids being in the pits. Normal tracks where there's not kids racing, I don't know about. Kind of think kids shouldn't be there or be at least 13 minimum. Been racing for quite a few years, seen so many kids not paying attention and parents being busy with their cars to pay attention to kids. The one day I had the life scared out of me. Kid ran right out in front of me, as I was getting pushed in the pits. I'm so glad the kid ran out from the left and not the right. I was running a winged car that day. I promise you I would've never seen the kid ran them over and probably would've killed the kid. Person on the 4 wheeler couldn't see the kid run out due to my car was blocking their sight. Then of course the parents wanted to yell at me and try to fight me, like it was my fault. Official seen what happened and kicked them out. Another rule that some tracks have and not all do or some don't enforce it. If you are not old enough to have a license, you're not allowed to operate the 4 wheeler. Once again seen to many kids on 4 wheelers, flying through the pits and doing donuts.

Someone needs to introduce you guys to curd cheese. Add it to your fries and gravy and it will blow your mind.

What a great experience for you young fella, learn and enjoy, dont try to change the usa way, fit in and become apart of the system. Basically the difference in the usa when comes to safety, track prep, vehicle safety, personal safety, etc is how the insurance is applied, here in NZ its govt control so they are risk adverse and we have rules up the garzoo, i know OZ is slightly different but in the US its up to the track promoter and individuals to sort any insurance liability, sign waivers, etc or get sued. PS: l lived in California 10 years, spend 2 months over there every year, have done so for 40 years, even race up there myself(road course) liked you video 😊

Nominating to race in Australia is a bit scammy. The " Blanket National Body" is even scammier in Australia. Good luck making a claim on your complimentary Insurance on your mandatory fees/licence. If the costs are covered by Medicare you cant make a claim against them. Good call.. they are just an Insurance company.

Tracks In USA are privately owned and run as a business? So the venues revenue is made at the front gate ftom GA? Where as In AUS tracks are on government land run by a non profit or a club. Revenue is made from the Competitors and General Admision, With Little to no attendance or prize money. Where as in the USA If the Promoter of the event dosent pay prize money, Cars dont show up, Spectators dont show up to watch, So no revenue is made. Does this sound about right? Whats the costs in joining clubs/sanctioning bodys AU vs USA? Given the conversion rate$.

I like a format, 5 hot laps your fastest lap is your qualify time no boring one or two car qualifying ,pill draw for first heat then opp starting spot for second heat ,high points pole for feature. It's called sprintcar racing not sprintcar qualifying !

Canadian sprintcar fan here the sprintcar racing here is pretty much American sprintcar racing but its less common in 410 competition and its its more 360 sprint car racing following the 602 crate sprints which is our version of the 305s compared to the united states and it may be small but we have decent drivers and upcoming stars 🏁🇨🇦 and in terms of pits we follow Australian pit vehicle safety precautions

Looked like a racing incident

Paragon is so tight I've seen that same accident many times. So hard to pass some nights if you feel like you have an opportunity you take it. Bryan Clauson did the same thing to Wil Newlin in 2004 to win Paragons 50th anniversary race. It happens.

Some people think they are entitled. You are in front of them, yet they think you should move aside for them. I would of went off aswell. You are putting your race car where it works best, even if you have to search to find the best race line. If they can not deal with it, they need to learn about life more.

Would like to see them get a USAC race. With Gas City closed it would make sense. I've never really liked the configuration of Paragon but always get over there once or twice a year for the bigger shows they have. Used to be KISS races back in the day then MSCS. Now it's the No Way Out 40 and a BOSS race or two each year.

Is that a normal steering wheel angle on midgets? Looks like you guys must have to sit kind of high and straight up and down so maybe the angle has to be like that.

I think you don't read these comments. First of all the first transition with the camera was awesome, video edit spot on. Secondly, moving the radius rod up, puts more weight transfer to the tire and also moves it forward a little. Thirdly, you bounced off the wall (turned away from the wall) it is part of racing. If someone abuses you over a normal racing incident, then they shouldn't be racing. Because they don't understand the dangers of racing. Chin up, this is part of being a racing car driver and these incidents are part of the lesson that are learnt.
