The 1969 Body Swapped Roadrunner gets a Late Model Challenger Fuel Cap/ Door Graphed In
Переглядів 4999 місяців тому
The B-Pillar / Sail Panel was the best place in my opinion to mount the Fuel door. I didn’t want to have it obstruct the wheel and tire travel. I know it’s not “traditional”, but not much on this car is. Coming up next is plumbing the fuel filler neck and rocker panels.

    Very Helpful Video, I have a Deluxe Cab, but had to source doors from a standard cab so i am having to drill holes for the trim. This is a big help....question related to hardware for the inner hood support brace and the rod X shape, and the inner hood latch. The body shop took these apart to paint the inner hood and lost the original hardware bolts, 6 smaller bolts for the latch support and 7 larger for the inner support brace and that X shaped support that is like a Rod. I cant find these listed from any supplier. Do you have any idea what the tread pitch and sizes are?

    Thanks for the video on the amazing chassis and drivetrain swap. Such a great idea and execution. Question is the 47 a prewar design carried over from 42? Because I recall new larger rear taillights in 48 then the 49s were redesigned.

    Guys how come you are not painting any of the door jams on the old Buick, and you are putting new interior in it right.The Body was off the chassis, why wasn’t sandblasted and painted,at least the inside would look nice, when the doors are open

    • @steeledreams2118
      @steeledreams2118 3 місяці тому

      The customer didn’t want to go that distance on this car. The ol’ Buick really has no rust except the surface rust. The interior is actually done now and he is driving the car. I didn’t get any pics of the interior after it was completed. The car will get painted later. He drove it to Vegas for Viva last April.

      The 94’ was a throttle body injected and the donor car I bought was a theft recovery. Some stuff was missing including the computer and I just didn’t feel like chasing parts down to complete a throttle body system. If it was the 95-96 then it would have had the z28 style system and that would have been different.
