Speed Metal is irrelevant today. Both Power Metal and Thrash Metal left it in the dust. Speed Metal was just a bridge between Heavy Metal and those 2 superior genres.

Virgin Steele is PEAK Heavy Metal. It's like Manowar but with better production, song writting and more melodic. The following albums are perfection: -Marriage Of Heaven and Hell Part I -Mariage Of Heaven and Hell Part II -Invictus -House Of Atreus I -House Of Atreus II

The most important bands in Proto Metal are: -Led Zeppelin -Deep Purple -Uriah Heep -King Crimson (influenced all the Prog Metal bands) -Pink Floyd (same as King Crimson)

I super respect these picks. I had not heard of Cohort B before watching a previous video, now I cant stop listening to them and I cant wait for what they can give us in the future. If I could make one recommendation of my own, Alien Chicks is an exciting new artist with a few recent singles out. They are very genre blending UK post-punk.

I grew up in 80s and 90s so was around when Without a Sound came out. Very cool how a lot of younger listeners rate this one so high. I wasn't fond of it myself, I thought the vocal melodies were underwritten and meandering. I'll give it another listen

Dude I just remembered a distant memory from my childhood, I don’t know how I forgot about this, but when I was probably 6 or 7 years old, I remembered the Beatles song Revolution, and so I grabbed my Dad‘s copy of The White Album because I wanted to hear it. Of course, the versions of Revolution on that album are not the single version that I was thinking of, but I didn’t know that at the time. I listened to Revolution 1, and was confused as to why it was stripped back, so I moved on to Revolution 9, thinking that might be it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I was TERRIFIED! I was a little intrigued, so I listened to the whole song, but I was so scared the whole time Thanks again for featuring me in this video! I love this community of gamers

I love the layout of this series and enjoy listening to your guys’ thoughts. Fantastic channel! Dinosaur Jr. is awesome, I just started listening to them this year. My first two albums were Without a Sound and Where You Been, currently going back to the 80’s stuff. I agree, once you swallow the J Mascis pill you’re set!

This is my first episode of your series and I plan to check out the rest. I like the system in which you have organized the recommendations. Gothic metal is a genre I'm quite familiar with and yet there was something new for me in the "Interesting" category, which is Estatic Fear and I'm going to listen to it. "Wildhoney" by Tiamat is one of the albums that drew me into the metal subculture, which in turn made my passion for music go to a higher level than ever :D As for The 3rd and The Mortal, I also really like their album "Tears Laid In Earth". It is hypnotic, beautiful and as if from some long forgotten era. My favorite gothic metal album is "Widow's Weeds" by Tristania, although I don't seem to go for very love-themed lyrics in gothic metal as a rule. Gothic metal also has the potential to transport the listener into a world of inner experiences (emotionality, crisis of faith, difficulties in dealing with the past), and I like that a lot. A thematically interesting album is Draconian's "Under a Godless Veil," which is heavily influenced by Gnosticism. Still, gothic metal is very atmospheric, regardless of the subject matter. If I had to name some of (I hope) not obvious recommendations from me it would be the albums: "The Deathship Has a New Captain" by Vision Bleak, which has the extraordinary power to take me to some other world from the album "Disclosure in Red" by Trail of Tears

For the self-titled album, the disc itself is pink and has the album cover's face on it, and is one of the prettiest discs I own! 💿 2. My cousin's husband saw blink-182 in the spring of 2002, at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. At this concert, the opening acts were Jimmy Eat World and Green Day! He said that it was awesome
