Hi Ibrah, usually you do not need to attach the invoice physically to the package, unless you are specifically asked by a carrier to do so.

In the scenario, you or your seller would have to create the commercial invoice to ship internationally. You would have to figure out the proper HS code for that item, which may require professional help from a customs expert.

Great questions, yes the supplier or manufacturer should be able to provide you with a commercial invoice, as they have all the necessary information about their products. If you plan on reselling the items outside of the country, then you may be asked to create a commercial invoice for your sales transactions.

@@arktransportation Thank you so much. But another question. If I ask for commerical invoice from the manufacture, are they legally required to provide that to me? I do not have great relationship with them anymore and what if they say no or make excuses they cant do this for me or lost the info?

@@peterhuang1431 It is not legally required for them to create one, but depending on the country they may be legally required to create one for it to leave their country for export. If they don't have to do that and are totally uncooperative, you would need to work with a customs professional to create one with what information you do have, as it won't clear customs for import without one.

I know the difference but for the company where I bought my arcade machine from, is it easy for companies to get this to me? I'd assume most of them only have invoice / receipt and this wont help me at all if it's just a regular invoice right?

Correct, a regular sales invoice does not have all the information that is included on a commercial invoice, including tax ids of the seller, H.S. code, ect...

Hmm, probably best to ask them for clarification. It could be as simple as your billing address, or if INCOTERMS have not yet been set, they would be asking for that to determine who will pay for transportation charges before finalizing a bill.

There are ways to add a padlock or attach a locking mechanism, but surprisingly most freight moves so quickly though a network that it doesn't sit anywhere long enough to be tampered with.
