    Every single part of my body except my face is so pale but my face is literally light-brownish color because of suntan,i got hyperpigmentation all over my face when i've used to play soccer and now it's not getting any better for almost 2 years.If i use hydroquinone regularly for all my face,would it solve my problem ? My body and head look like they belong to two different people of different races.

    Would you say Dermatica Tretinoin is ok or it’s best to go with Obagi?

    • @facedr
      @facedr Місяць тому

      Hi there! Most brands like Dermatica take white labelled tretinoin and and put their brand on it, so as long as it’s a trusted brand and you're happy it's safe, it should be ok! If you'd like free guidance with one of our Skin Experts, we would recommend a tretinoin product we trust from a reputable medical-grade brand such as Obagi. The choice is completely yours, just do your research! :)

    Hi much retinol in the brightening eye cream? Would this be harsh around the eyes? I thought the ingredients in this product are targeted more at the dark circle caused by blood vessels? Wouldn't products contain Vit C or niacinamide better for dark circle cause by pigmentation?

    • @facedr
      @facedr 2 місяці тому

      It's a low amount of retinol for the delicate eye area. I actually use this one myself and don't find it harsh at all, but if you're looking for something gentler you could go the Growth Factor option. Retinol is a fantastic all-rounder at skin regeneration, brightening and overall skin health so a really good option for dark circles. I do find it brightens my eye area, and keeps it hydrated throughout the day which is handy if you wear make-up. Hannah - Face Dr

    Which ones better retiNAL or Tretinoin?

    • @Blackjackbubble
      @Blackjackbubble 2 місяці тому

      Definitely tretinoin. Stronger. Retinaldehyde has to be converted through biochemical reactions under the skin, whereas tretinoin is pure retinoic acid and is readily available to attach to the retinoid receptors in the skin.

    • @facedr
      @facedr 2 місяці тому

      Hi there! Tretinoin is the stronger of the two, and will work more quickly, but there may be more anticipated reactions on the skin. Retinal is also a good option but results will take a bit longer to achieve. It depends on your skin and what it can tolerate. Speak to your dermatologist or a Skin Expert on what's best for your skin. Hannah - Face Dr

    I have some scarring from ingrown hairs and a dark neck from too much sun exposure. May seem prescribed 12% hydro, 6% KoJic acid, 1% ascorbic, 4% niacinamide. This seems very high for my neck area. Was this intended only for the scars, or can I also apply to my neck area? My neck is 3 shades darker than other areas.

      @facedr 3 місяці тому

      Thank you for your question. For specific prescription queries it is best to contact your prescriber and check where they intended you to apply the cream. Your prescription contains other active ingredients but, broadly speaking, we do use HQ on the neck area with great results. We are very cautious about retinols/tretinoin in this sensitive area but the HQ itself should not cause irritation, redness, flaking.
