My Anime Opening Rankings - Summer 2024 v0
And so we move onto the next season with more long-awaited sequels and some promising new originals. Everything on here is yearly cutoff-eligible, though the top 3 stand out greatly so far from what's been previewed. Let's hope they age well.
Updates:
Ookami to Koushinryou (2024) OP2 is now in my top 5.
Sengoku Youko: Senma Konton-hen is now in my top 10.

I edited #14's visuals to be safer to watch.
#5 has already aired.
#2 and #1 have been shortened due to c0pyfricks. Should be fine by July.

Last Winter's openings are starting to grow staler and not aging well. This upcoming Spring, on the other hand, looks way more promising than usual. It's a pity that some of the most awaited new sequels aren't coming out until early May. Hopefully the quality will be worth it later. All the songs on here are yearly cutoff-worthy. On another note, there's hardly anything horrible this season so ...
Nostalgia drive, great vídeo. But kami nomi in 44? Thats a war crime dude.
And the craziest part is despite all of this musical excellence, she didn't perform "No Promises to Keep". I actually didn't know she made this many anisongs! I'm very familiar with her work with Yoko Kanno but had no idea she did THIS many songs.
I fist pumped when I saw The Dreaming Boy is Realist at 33.
Let's just say I've completed over 500 anime throughout the decade that I got seriously into anime. I've been slowing down on seasonals recently due to the isekai burnout. I mainly use AniList to track my anime, so feel free to follow me there. I have some resources to help me find even 90s anime and songs.

Hello man, I Wanted to ask you a question, where you check the new anime openings? do you individually search each anime on youtube? i use Anime.themes but it is a little slow to load new openings, for example the Tower Of God one isn't there yet and many others too

Why Dandadan is 17th ? I've already heard the full version in cinema and it becomes my favorite opening of this season (at this moment).
It's still good, don't get me wrong. But there are 16 songs that I prefer over this one, and I find Bling Blang Blang Born a lot better. Everyone has opinions, you see.

I will never understand the love for Papermoon - it sounds so generic and forgettable to me, and I always forget what it sounds like - even within its own series, when I think of Soul Eater, I think of "Resonance", as that one actually sticks with me and I remember it to this day.
That feel when my favorite OP of all time was from this year and didn't make this list at all (Baccano!)

It's a mashup between Triangler, Lion and other songs from Macross F.
After reading a comment from another viewer, I hoped with all my heart that this was the same ending that I had been looking for all day on many UA-camrs, I was not mistaken, this is the best ending of the year
And to me it compares to the ending theme Kyoukai No Kanata
My 5 favorite are in order #21 (top 5), #57 (top 4), #1 (top 3), #28 (top 2) and #4 (top 1)
i have a feeling a lot of these lists are much more based on the anime's popularities rather then the material in itself... bcs i usually end up liking the lower ranked ones better... but to each their own, pls don't take it as a critic
Honestly I relate recently, especially something I noticed last season with Blue Archive, Shuumatsu Train. Everyone does have their own opinions, and I respect them, but my lists are based on my personal preferences and experiences.

The melodies and rhythms naturally flow together, creating a musical map with strongly defined beats and lovely voices. Coupled with lyrics that capture subtle human emotions about love, keeps me coming back to it. A keeper in my collection!
