I know that safety standards are different around the world, and that the economics of things are unique to a culture and even the worker on a assembly floor. However, this seems pretty bleak. Manual rubber injection, not even safety shoes, child labor, etc. It just seems there should be a better way.
This explains why new cables fail out of the box.
I’m going to start cleaning my cables before I use them now. Get all that foot sweat off of them. 😂
The earth pole/connector ist for decoration purposes only?
Don't hate the Asian "skills"
They probably include it so it's harder to tell its not connected? You can probably tell from the wire diameter and weight but having a connector with earth missing would be a dead giveaway
I think these cables are not compliant to IEC 60320, since they use the C13 connector without connecting the earth pole.
I agree. What I don't understand is why they spend money for the earth pole connector, and yet not for an extra wire. At least they didn't connect neutral and earth - I've seen some cheap cables do that - and makes them unusable.
I mean they are crimped with needle nose pliers. I don't think compliance with standards was of the highest priority in that factory. xD

They need to Solder the wire connections on those new water pumps instead of just tying them by hand and leaving them. that’s a good way for a short to develop after time in use. The vibrations from that water pump will loosen those hand, tied connections.
