The Airbus A380 wing is amazing.
In this video of an Airbus A380 taking off on a long haul flight we focus on the wing. Fully loaded ready for take off, the convex shape of this wing is very noticeable with the outer part of the wing invisible, and the wingtip barely visible.
As speed increases and the wing generates lift, through to rotation where it bears the weight of the aircraft, the wing has reversed with the outer edge and wingtip now clearly visible.
Amazing to think of the wide range of movement in the structure that holds large fuel tanks, flight control surfaces and electronics.
Aircraft are AMAZING!

The first test flight of the space shuttle was a glide test performed after being released from the back of a Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet. I understand those that prefer to hear the official air to ground track (I am one of those too) but still thought tha...

I’m sure there were reasons, but why wouldn’t they have just used 8 jet engines rather than 4, and 6 pusher props?

On Memorial Day, there were often low flyovers by military aircraft at towns all over the U. S. On that day in 1952, I was riding through town with my dad when he came to a stop and told me to stand on the running-board and look up. I got out just in time to see the skies darken as a huge B-36 came over at minimum altitude. To my credit, I knew what it was and saw that it had the new jet engines attached. I've never seen anything so big in the air or so loud. That was a thrill that a 13-year old boy never forgets. A family friend who ran the Weather Bureau at Mahlon Sweet Field said that it came down and flew along the runway about 10 feet off the ground. It couldn't have landed there, as the runway wasn't nearly long or sturdy enough to allow that, although a B-29 had landed there at the airport's grand opening in July, 1945. My older cousin, Bill Strong, was the navigator on that plane and as I was just 6 years old, they overlooked the no-civilians rule and he took me up into the cockpit. That was beyond compare as a young boy's dream.

October 18, 2024 Irene Imanil here to order to protect me, Orlando Ferrer Imanil, Orly Laca Imanil and the remaining Jonathan Imanil for another Jonathan Imanil died on October 17, 2024 by healthcare of HI. Stop ambulance driving on the road to capture perfectly healthy and normal individuals for hospitalization to slowly and painfully be killed by healthcare. One Jonathan was captured by Arnalee Bautista-Imanil, wife of Eugene Imanil, yet this Jonathan Imanil wa perfectly healthy and normal. Former Vicky Cayetano massively covers up for briber acceptance of several ambulance drivers.

October 15, 2024 What a heavenly view from above! Irene Imanil here to inform US airbases that the masses don't much about US military work and even governance, so don't ignore my need to security for national security? My birth certificate turned globally and it was completed in might have been 1968, so my name is known globally and many countries are waiting to hear or see me? Back in the '80s Russia and N. Korea went to UN to veto our death in America. Russia and N. Korea held the veto power of our death, but why my nieces and nephews were helplessly torched and even killed in America, yet the generations of Norma Laca (she's a global heroine and heroine of Saudi Arabia's Hajj. Not many people know this and what is she in Japan?) are Americans too born in US. We are main characters in many history and literature textbooks, but why am penniless in America with military existence in the woods, as if I'm fighting for a war, yet it's really a civilized existence in HI. I want to be re united with my father, brothers/siblings, nieces and nephews.

I was born in 1943. My dad was stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls Tx where he was an instructor on Pratt & Whitney engines. They had a B 36 they used for maintenance instructions. Once, when he was watching me and my brother, he had to go to the base to take care of some business. He told an enlisted man to show us through the B36, which was right outside the hanger, to get us out of the way. We went all through it from cockpit to tail, through the tunnel and all. What memories. I used to listen to the B36s fly over, probably from Carswell AFB in Ft Worth. Very distinctive sound. Deep roar.

Strategic Air command was an excellent movie. The producers wanted to show specifically all the startup procedures needed to fly this magnificent piece of engineering. He wanted a lot of camera time for the inside and also the outside of the plane while it was taking off and flying. That is by far my favorite plane.

Removing the Victor Young music track is tinkering with originality...and disrespecting the composer. Worse, looping the t.o sequence creates spasmodic sound. In short, hardly worth bothering about....but that's just me, having watched this sequence, on and off, since 1956.
