Few things: 1. It can get costly to charge them, depending on where you live. 2. They have low travel distance before they need to charge up again. Charge up stations can charge sometimes more than filling up a gas tank (even with current prices). Great vehicle if you live in a big city, not so much for smaller 100k people cities. 3. The battery does not like really hot temperatures, and may spontaneously combust. So 100F or higher temperatures and you might be in trouble. 4. The battery does not like really cold temperatures and may permanently lose upwards of 50% or more of its maximum charge. So 30F or lower, the worse the effect. 5. Batteries last for about 10 years. Less for high temperature or low temperature regions. Costs anywhere from $8000 to $16000 to replace, depending on model of electric vehicle. 6. They are not environmentally friendly to build, as the cobalt and lithium needed for its battery is very dangerous mining for them or disposing of them after the battery is spent. 7. The power grid cannot support all these EVs, so its forcing a lot of old coal or gas or nuclear plants to be reopened and used to meet the power demands.
@@lordpalandus11none of that is true. The part about cold temps is partially true, the part about cobalt is partly true but changes over time, and the part about battery replacement is often closer to 15 years.
Massive shit boxes with poor QC and hold zero value. Super charging can often cause more than a tank of gas in some places... and the tank of gas takes you further
What should really fear is a 10 speed f150. Nothing like getting shit on by a truck. Now, you will only get 3-4 pulls and that 10 speed will lock up and fail but hey, nothing is perfect
If you want a used Tesla which has only 70% range left and want to carry the risk of the battery failing without guarantee meaning another 20k to replace the battery then indeed you can afford one. Reality is that Teslas are good for 7 years, else why would they not give you a longer guarantee on the battery if most of them would have no problems for 15-20 years? It's pretty obvious.
Wtf is wrong with your brain
